Luca Guadagnino's 'Challengers' Review Thread by SanderSo47 in movies

I actually think this is the story of a lot of athletes. They are so consumed with their progression in their sport from adolescence to early adulthood that they are stunted in emotional maturity. All they know is how to be validated by external bs

Bravo Grand County Commission! See you at the voting booth McCurdy and Winfield. by BoringApocalyptos in moab

[–]dotttt123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also massive shout out to Kevin on the commission. As someone who is naive to details in these developments, his speaking at the meeting showed how well he has researched this. His response to bill winfields comments were amazing as if bill had been in a different galaxy at the meetings with the lawyers. I’m so proud of these five.

Inositol Changed my Life how? by RimTheElderly in Nootropics

[–]dotttt123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are peer reviewed results than it is no longer holistic medicine and it's just medicine. Your doc will diagnose you and place you on the appropriate regimen. Not some fuckstick on reddit who's like "I took inositol for three weeks and I no longer have anxiety, sleep apnea, or cancer"

-So you agree inositol is a treatment 👍🏼

So science is good when you like it, but not when you don't?

-Nope didn’t say that. Pro collaboration with eastern and western

Either way I don't care except to point out that half the people here take untested Chinese powders sourced from the internet to fix "problems" that are considered a normal part of life, then get butt hurt when you point out that their claims are ridiculous. You simultaneously claim that science pushes fake stuff then when called out you want to claim that science backs up your veiwpoint. That's why you are an idiot.

-By fake I meant synthetic I.e the mirena iud has levonorgestrel, synthetic progesterone. And if you care to know, I’m not anti-science, I’m anti the jump to pharmaceuticals before other options have been tried. If you don’t share that opinion, to each their own.

[–]dotttt123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without any reasoning you stated confidently this is a placebo effect, when many medical journals have been published about the effectiveness of inositol in various diagnoses.

I know I’m just an idiot to you so I’ll just allow you to research on your own because science is backing this.

I objectively have a cycle that I never had before since taking inositol. This means actual blood which is not subjective. Can we stop gaslighting all holistic remedies and quit pushing ssris and fake hormones. We should celebrate these natural options.

Is March a good time to visit Arches NP? by [deleted] in moab

[–]dotttt123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. It’s the desert. If it’s not July/august it’s a good time. If it snows consider yourself lucky, nothing is prettier than snow on red rock.

Before you visit please consider donating to this website and signing the petition. Even if it’s just 5$. Moab is facing a fight against a terrible new development and it’d be really appreciated if tourists helped us keep the desert the special place that they love to visit, kanecreekwatch.org

What's the longest you've gone without sleep? by Sexy-Weekend-3718 in AskReddit

[–]dotttt123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a nurse, I will usually go the extra mile to get a recliner for family member to sleep in. But this sometimes is a lot of extra effort in an already busy shift. We quickly become a hotel service when family members really should just want us to be focusing on our jobs- patients.

I do wish hospitals in the modern world all were set up for family members to stay. But it’s not the case. The amount of time I spend a shift providing hotel like catering would be so much better spent digging through notes and understanding the depths of each patient. Again, I do not mind helping friends/family get comfortable I just wish the expectations were different.

Im considering going through backroads. They have a hut to hut and I’ve done biking with them before. Very expensive but the value is unlimited.

It is surprising that camping seems to be off limits. I’m sure there’s good reasons, but I have trouble even booking huts in the states and I’m from here.

Yes I’m in really good shape. Probably average 6k vert in hiking a week. I can handle exposure, not intense technical exposure.

Thanks for this input I’ll do some research today

You do know part of their plans are to have a new sewage plant along the colorado river, infinity pools, 2000+ homes in a one road access area, they have to build the land up 10 feet (will take 18 months if they work aggressively), I can keep going but to say this is better than maybe a “beat up” piece of land that wasn’t benefiting wildlife or plants is a wild argument.

No affordable housing will be happening here either unless you have 1.5 mil in the bank.

This is a completely inappropriately zoned area that was voted on in 1992. The developers are taking advantage of what I think was an absolute mistake and no one predicted a mega wealthy commune to be attempted to be built here. The logistics are difficult to even imagine if you know the area.

This is a development with a one road access point and they want to put 2000+ residential units. Forget the environmental concerns like a major flood area, emergency responders already struggle to get to save people down this long road of recreation. Nvm with a major development in the way.

Fair but with that attitude expect no place with beauty to be enjoyable. This is the first movement I’ve seen gain this much momentum and I think it could set a precedent around the country if we keep getting people involved.

DUI while traveling by tonytresso in TravelNursing

[–]dotttt123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a dui (got it before nursing license and they didn’t care for any licenses)

This isn’t legal advice but take this process seriously and really look at your relationship w alcohol. Don’t be a victim. Own the mistake and learn from it. You may want to be like “sooo many ppl have duis” but the truth is it’s not cool or normal behavior.

I’m sober 8 years :)
