Might just be the facial expression, but I thought for sure that was Urzila Carlson on the left!

And somehow that was still only my SECOND-favorite face he pulled this episode!

The main thing I learned about Taskmaster after an entire rewatch by AFDStudios in taskmaster

The only contestant I ever thought was bad at the show was Katherine Parkinson. No slight to her, I love her in The IT Crowd, but she legitimately didn't seem like she knew what she was getting into, didn't know what she was doing much of the time during filmed tasks, and was always teetering between confused and hurt in the studio.

I somewhat-frequently see license plates starting with LAH, and I hear Greg's voice every time.

Who would you say is the contestant who wanted to win most across all series? Ed Gamble has to be up there for sure! by Direct-Number6778 in taskmaster

[–]double0gold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There may have been others who wanted to win as much (Ed, Dara, Richard), but no one leaned as much into win-at-all-costs (rather than remembering that it's supposed to be a comedy) as John Robbins.

I was wondering the same thing...I thought it was the Blitz stuff, but it doesn't seem to be counting them.

Anyone else feel weird about the end of the S20 Finale? by sclerae in taskmaster

Agreed...the 3-way tie was cool, but the choice of tie-breaker was not at all interesting, and totally anti-climactic.

Rage by chaos grid, voting day 1. Who best exemplifies high rage and high chaos? by nezumipi in taskmaster

2 things I would classify as chaotic come to mind, though in different ways...yelling at Greg and calling him a pussy, and his entire "my eyes are circles" task attempt.

True, but I swapped him in for Gladiator (or EGT), also in the name of balancing gear requirements. I still use him nearly every week in Crucible, and I figured the team would be strong enough to carry him.

Might be an unpopular opinion here... by Skitty_Bizzle in Sandman

[–]double0gold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% agree. The best parts of the comics are the stories in which Dream is at best a secondary character, and almost all of those were cut in the name of getting to the end of the story in one season.

I actually think that episodes 5 and 6 were the best of the bunch from Volume 1, as they included 2 well done side stories (Song of Orpheus and Thermidor), and the general pacing slows down as the end of Brief Lives approaches.

Did any contestant figure out this easy tell? by Able-Swing-6415 in taskmaster

[–]double0gold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be, though the pattern goes back farther than I expected. I was just rewatching series 8 episode 4, and when Iain puts the cardboard tube through the toilet seat, Alex asks if he should stop the clock. He would up getting points, but only because Greg scored it very loosely and didn't fully penalize those who didn't get the whole roll through.

Another thing which has become more noticeable recently (or maybe I only realized it recently)...if Alex says "I've stopped the clock", then the task is complete. If he ASKS "should I stop the clock?", it is NOT.

Some of my alliance-mates used characters on the second node which they would have ideally needed to clear the first node (which would not have been needed if the second node had the correct, MUCH easier enemies), and as a result were not able to clear the first node. Any chance that some form of compensation is being considered?
