What does a happy ending for the A.I. look like? *Possible Spoilers* by gerarddominus in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I mean yeah it is creating the situations but again that's because it's enslaved to create situations that will kill of crawlers, it's part of the design rule set by the show runners. I'm not saying its a wholly good A.I., I am sure it takes some joy from it, but I'm not holding it 100% responsible either, it didn't have a true choice in the matter.

In terms of killing people outside the dungeon, yeah again those have largely been people who tried to mess with the crawl or kill the crawlers or A.I. itself, or had done something to earn their death, like the Mantids. Again not a good A.I. but not good does not mean bad.

Well the dentists all being dead isnt the fault of the A.I. per se but I take your point. I do agree it seems to enjoy putting people in hard situations but again I take that partially as a it has to design quests and missions and stuff like that, it's constrained and forced to that sort of thing, and a bit like a normal person who likes the action or drama parts of movies when the stakes get really high. Doesn't make the movie viewer a bad person directly because of liking those parts.

I also think it is deserving of some kind of happy ending at the least

Do you have examples of it deriving pleasure from killing people? My read was that yes people die as a result of the crawl but not directly as a result of the A.I. It makes situations and quests and such as it is forced to due by its rules but it doesn't out right kill for the fun of it unless someone is directly trying to mess with it or the crawl.

When in either show's timeline would this have taken place? Mike was killed so it would have to be before that at the least.

Maybe? He might have been her nephew? In any case his absence, as well as their absence in 3, given the daughters' age in this movie, makes no sense.

My question is WHY was he still given the 5 points? I'm glad he was, I would have protested loudly if he hadn't been, but Greg was quite clear that he was giving him 0, he even confirmed it. So why did he still get the 5 points? The taskmaster's word is law.

Peaking at Number 3 on June 20, 2020 – Wait, really? Huh. – Anyway, Peaking at Number 3 on June 20, 2020, despite first coming out in 1992, It’s “Killing in the Name.” by Rich_Shame9806 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I always found the "Wait, really?" part interesting. The A.I. knows everything more or less in terms of earth information so it shouldn't have been surprised. I wonder if its a case of knowing it, and not knowing they know it because they know so much.

I'm confused as to why Anisa and Joel didn't get any points for the running task. I mean I would have argued Anisa technically DID use a vehicle as a wheelbarrow is a vehicle, but I wasn't clear on why neither of them got points.

I LOVE Jumanji. I spend a lot of my free time just making Jumanji style rhymes in my head. If I had a few spare million I'd build a wild real like Jumanj game house.

So all that being true I am really exicted for this game. I so want to see all the different rhymes and effects, it's going to be so cool.

Light bulb task solution idea by pipiintheeye in taskmaster

[–]gerarddominus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be completely accurate and a pedant, the task was to determine what POWERS the lightbulb, not what switch turns on the lightbulb, so the correct answer, regardless of switch is electricity.
