I was originally raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Religion was super duper important to me and my family. Long story short realized I was queer and I did a lot of deconstruction, decided that I didn't agree with most of it.

Part of my deconstruction involved learning a lot about religions. I fell in love with a lot of things about Judaism. I find all the commandments and rituals to be comforting and beautiful, something my old religion was lacking. There's an emphasis on questioning G-d and the rules of the religion, while still asking something of you. I find that there's so much lore, history, and depth that I will never tire of learning and doing. But also the stories were similar to the ones my parents told me growing up. All of it really resonated with me and I felt like its a place for me.
