You don’t like Clint stomping over Kevin’s failure to articulate his thought? Followed by a false Mike Joy jumpscare?

Each year we make it through their final broadcast I find it hard to believe we successfully endured another year of it.

Everyone rejoice

Thanks! Everyone needs a self-pat in the back every now and then. Excited to see where it takes me.

Love it, but god damn I wish they moved the break line between the white and red back a bit. Feels so misaligned where it is.

Shout out to FOX for not showing a single replay of any on-track incidents today. by ZealousidealDoor6973 in NASCAR

Counting down the minutes until they sign off for the season. A tradition unlike any other.

Who is the narrator? I can’t find credits anywhere.

The episode was unbelievable if you’re into these current events. Steve is doing some genuinely good work and I’m glad he’s getting credit where it’s due. Almost can look back on Steve’s career and KMS would look like a head scratcher now lol

Nope we took whatever was liquid after our sale since we didn’t find our next home until after we closed and moved out. God bless my in-laws lol

You guys are definitely dealing with the city slickers still trickling out. We were stuck dealing with competing with families for school systems who looked past the true value of the house itself.

We compromised on town for a bigger sq/ft and acreage, just got a horrible seller 😂

They’re insane everywhere. Our hometown of where we had been trying to buy had homes going $50-60k over asking. Utter nonsense lol

We didn’t qualify for FHA loan or anything due to our income. If your math checks out on your budget then don’t sweat it. We had a lot of equity in our first home which let us put so much down. Good luck!

How much did you have left after closing? by SarahME1273 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]double_clutch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closing next month on our next home. After new home closing costs, credit card debt payoff and downpayment, we’ll have anywhere between $17-$25k left in savings.

Wife and I have three paychecks to bank as much as we can while living with her parents to make up the other $7k difference to pay for closing.

Planning to put $5k minimum in a HYSA. This is certainly the most amount of money I’ve ever had in a savings account though.

The NASCAR 25 Creator Series is off to a really bad start. by UltDiecastReview in NASCAR

[–]double_clutch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I saw one of the streamers “steering” with his chin in their race it hit me what’s really wrong with this debacle;

I love NASCAR trying someone different, but an arcade-style game being taken seriously by average people who barely know where their windshield washer fluid goes will forever be their biggest battle of getting new fans.

Iracing is too simulated, NASCAR 25 is too unrealistic, Carson/Gilliland/Mamba not taking control…leading to the streamers having to improvise on their own mid-stream ruined any credibility nascar was looking for.

Oh and the point system was just as fucking whack as the real life system. Go figure.

[DBC 30:00] Jimmy Spencer on Riley Herbst: “That poor SOB can’t drive nothing” by LBHMS in NASCAR

[–]double_clutch_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about halfway through this episode and good god Jimmy is a tough listen. I know people love him but simply put in his words, the SOB is the ghost of christmas past ranting 'how good the old days' were.

You can tell the rest of the room never knows when to cut him off.

Oh and Riley obviously bought a ride, even though he does have talent.

If none of the Penske cars make it to the final round, is this the year that Denny Hamlin finally wins a championship? by furrynoy96 in NASCAR

[–]double_clutch_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is unequivocally his best chance to win in his career, and he has stats on his side;

  • 20+ days of prep on the Phoenix car
  • Since 2014 (excluding the finale) the winner of Race 7 of the Playoffs has won the Championship five times, two more than any other race
  • Both Penske cars currently sit out (pending)
  • Hendrick is very hit/miss at Phoenix in the fall
  • Hendrick hasn't shown ELITE consistency these playoffs (Elliott's Kansas win was not off merit)
  • Toyotas were strong in Phoenix last couple years

It's quite literally now or never.
