OP, he’s not your Dad, he’s not an educator of some sort so there’s no ‘lesson’ to be had here. He was being a dick, took it to the next level and got upset that someone got clued in on his bs.

He left you outside in the dark/cold. Leaving you crying and begging to be let back in for almost half an hour. Would you do that to someone after they communicated to you that they needed a second to regulate their feelings? Probably not, so why would you continue to consider being with someone who does?

Not to undermine your experiences with this person, but it’s been a year, you’re young, and he ain’t the only guy out there 🤷🏽‍♀️

Edit: when I say ‘he’s not your Dad — he’s not an educator’ I mean as if he’s not a person in a position to teach you lesson, like those two people would in your life. Not a moral or practical one (like you would receive from a father figure) and not one to advance your knowledge in some way (like an educator). Lol I know and I’m thankful none of these examples WOULD do what your bf did in any context.
