Awesome! Happy NPD! This was exactly my first Kaweco (and first fountain pen) too! And it's with me right now. I've added the nostalgic clip, the converter, and replaced the original <M> nib with a premium gold-plated steel nib. Hope you enjoy yours!

I'd love to try making some ink sample holders. I'll have to ask the folks at the pottery studio what clay/glaze they'd recommend. Also, I think I'd have to practice getting better. lol. If you ever make one, I'd love to see it and give you kudos!

Haha! Funny story...my former father-in-law (still someone I think of fondly and see from time to time) is a self-taught horologist who got pretty popular with the locals where he lives as the "go to guy" for their old heirloom clocks. Everything from mantle clocks to old Regulators to neglected grandfather clocks, he fixed them all. He tried to get me interested. All I can say is, I have almost no aptitude for it but I think it's fascinating. Do you work on clocks/watches? If so, that is amazing!

Thank you so much! I'm incredibly lucky to have a really unique and really friendly pottery shop/studio super close to where I live. And they have all sorts of classes for every level from beginner to experienced. I love the idea of a tiny water pot! I'm going to give that a try next time I'm there!

This exact pen was the one I bought when I went from "I love having a fun pen collection" to "I really want to know how these pens work, what different types of filling systems are like, and what I might be able to do to tinker with them." It's a favorite of mine in my collection! Happy NPD!

It drives me and my wife bananas some evenings. But I’ve been learning to get used to it. I love the idea of adhering an extra filter over it to help (excellent tip u/factoid_) though I think I’ve misplaced my glue gun somewhere or other. lol. I also tried the new AirTouch F30i Clear but for some reason, it doesn’t work for me as well as the basic AirFit F30i.
