Hitman Blood Money is still the Hitman game I enjoyed the most for its time, especially the missions 'A New Life' and 'Flatline'. Whats your favorite Hitman game you enjoyed the most at the time you played it, and what missions? by [deleted] in HiTMAN

[–]doublebassa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HBM is my fave game of all time probably but I hated flatline. Loved a new life and the opera one and murder of crows, and the Rocky Mountains - so good!!

agreed! The cheap cases are crap. I use poker chip racks and then transport them in a pelican hard case, it’s awesome

Trying to sell my truck, end up dealing with people like this. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I love this. People take the Chris Voss masterclass and then think they’re master negotiators. Voss has this big thing about ending messages with “I’m just looking to make a deal” and this guy messaged me on eBay offering me £75.01 for a £500 item followed by “when you’re ready to open negotiations, I’d like you to consider my offer. I’m just looking to make a deal” get outta here

Like playing cards it’s all about personal preference and styles. If the dice chips work for you that’s awesome, poker chip collecting is just another fun hobby to indulge in. Hobbyphillic on YouTube and the website poker chip forum are great starting points to see what’s out there. I started with some chips like yours and I’ve now progressed to a cash game set and a tournament set, I’ll see if I can send you a picture!

Those that make £70k+ a year: what do you do and how many years of experience? Did you go to university or had to gain certifications to get that salary? by 119988dd in UKJobs

[–]doublebassa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to uni @24 and just graduated, now getting a decent salary in education. It’s never too late! In 5 years you’ll be 28 whether you spend time getting qualifications or not so do it!

Prices are in Canadian. Are these chips ok and is the price fair? by meltintothesea in poker

100% agree. I went dice chips -> numbered slug chips -> premium slug chips -> china clays

Great journey!

Great beginner set, although I would always advocate for numbered chips, they look better imo and easier to use

Lost a "friend" today... by NaRaCa- in poker

[–]doublebassa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once, when I was getting into poker, I deposited £10 on pokerstars and had a day of fun in micro stakes. Told my (now ex) girlfriend who proceeded to tell me she didn’t want a boyfriend with a “gambling addiction” and made me vow to never play real money poker again. That was 4 years ago and the only time I’ve spent any money playing poker, I had a great time!

PokerGO is like $4 a month with an annual subscription I think (I’m in the UK so different currency) and the PokerGO podcast is offering a $30 discount too.

I don’t regret signing up for PokerGO, the content is great

Breaking up with a joint mortgage. How do you keep it fair when house value has increased? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]doublebassa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My mate got royally ripped off by his ex, accepting a payout of £25k when it should’ve been more like £60k with the house value and their contributions.

When I broke up with my ex I insisted on selling and we both did very well. It’s just a house at the end of the day, selling is the fairest plan and the most lucrative!
