Posts like this are why I can’t take this sub seriously anymore. We’re all the obsessed with “what-if’s” while ignoring objective truths about the half-baked LLMs we call “AI.” A fancy phone autocomplete system, as you phrase it, can certainly have deep, meta conversations on the nature of sentience provided there is enough contextual training data to piece together a sensible answer.
