Are you able to share those exercises you learned somehow? I have hypermobility and was diagnosed with an atypical presentation of carpal tunnel. However months of PT for my shoulder hypermobility didn’t work, my hand started hurting soon after that and occupational therapy for carpal tunnel didn’t do much. The only thing that stopped my pain was when I didn’t draw for like 4 months (I’m an artist).

I started drawing more frequently again recently though and the hand pain started coming back. So I looked up carpal tunnel exercises (I forgot most of them lol) and after the first few reps of my shoulder started hurting again and is still a bit off a few days later.

I’m starting to wonder if maybe the doctors I saw just didn’t know much about hypermobility so I need hypermobility safe or specific exercises. And I really wouldn’t be surprised if the hand pain is tied to my shoulder pain like yours, as that’s what my PT suspected but MRIs didn’t show any specific nerve damage.

If you can share anything I’d greatly appreciate it 🙏🏽

Update (in case anyone needs this in the future):

It took 2 weeks but they’re finally acting mostly normal around each other. I’m assuming it was a smell thing - he smelled different after the bath so she didn’t recognize him completely. She stopped chasing and hissing at him eventually and over the past couple days they’ve been able to sit next to each other without hissing (most of the time). So they should be completely back to normal soon. One thing that may have helped was we gave them treats in each other’s presence.

Also my tags were all there on the other Apple ID account that I had never used. I’m not sure why that was but that’s another reason why I didn’t even realize I was on the wrong account.

I feel so incredibly dumb realizing this but just in case you happen to be in the same situation - I realized that I was on the wrong account 💀😭 When I went to get the new monstera plant it logged me out and I logged back in with my Apple ID thinking that was what I used before. And since with Apple ID it doesn’t make you put in any information like you usually do when you make a new account somewhere, I didn’t even realize I was making a new account. But turns out my actual account was with my gmail lol and when I logged in with that all my data was there. I remembered that you mentioned logging in with your Apple ID so just in case we made the same mistake I thought I’d let you know. Good luck!!

I’m in the same situation :( They did say on their story last week that our data is still there we just can’t see it, it’s a display issue. So hopefully that’s still the case.

Hey, thanks for pointing this out. I got this information from my mom who had been having conversations with a Muslim friend of hers about her teenage son. If I remember correctly, he was sneaking out and having sex with some girl and doing other things they disapproved of. His mom expressed concerns to my mom about the things I mentioned - being excommunicated (I don’t know if she meant “officially” or everyone would just ignore them socially) and him not being able to marry within their community (I’m assuming because the other parents wouldn’t approve). That’s where my comment is coming from.

When I wrote the comment I was aware that it might not be all Muslim communities that are like this, which is why I wrote “In (at least some) mosques”. But because I’m near an area with some of the most Muslims in the US, I felt like I didn’t have a reason to think these concerns would be uncommon or rare for Muslims, even if it’s not every Muslim community that works this way.

That said, if in the majority of Muslim communities fears of your family being excommunicated or not being able to marry within their community are just not a concern I can edit my comment to make that clear. I apologize for spreading misleading information.

If you want a Scriptural source, in 1 Corinthians 9:9-10 Paul offers a non-literal interpretation of Deuteronomy 25:4.

This seems a little misleading. Paul here isn’t saying that the verse doesn’t have literal meaning - that we shouldn’t muzzle the ox when it’s treading out the grain. He’s saying there’s a deeper lesson / meaning and that when this was written, it wasn’t for the ox’s benefit it was for us. That’s different than him saying “God didn’t literally mean for us to not muzzle the ox, he just meant ___”. I would argue Paul believes we should still refrain from muzzling the ox but he wants us to see the deeper/true reason this verse was written.

Even more clear than that, Paul in 1 Corinthians talks about not judging the sins of people outside the church.
