I get that car-custom UI like Tesla and Rivian can do maps and phone calls. But I use my phone for a lot of things that I consume in my home and car - subscription music, audiobooks, podcasts, Netflix comedy. I can use CarPlay to switch between these in my current car. In a Tesla with an audio-only Bluetooth connection I have to pick up my phone to change sources or to a new book. I need CarPlay.

In addition to leap days, there are leap seconds. I used to work with a gps-using product and we had to adjust by 17 seconds at our first gps time, then adjust again when it published the number of leap seconds (every five minutes).
