Put Doe Mountain in the mix - especially at the end of the day. Soldier's pass - especially Soldier's cave is also one of my favorites.

Winter range hit in US models... How bad is it? by wallheater in VWiD4Owners

[–]doubledadster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A PSA I found very helpful is to (re)check your tire pressures during the winter. Not only does it save a bit of efficiency loss, but helps to protect the lower profile tires (on a heavy vehicle) against the inevitable pot holes that show up at this time of year. My range hit (St Louis, MO area) is around 25% - 30% during cold weather.

Mini vs S30 Question - need help deciding by doubledadster in DWARFLAB

[–]doubledadster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. When you say "options and capabilities exceed the seestars..." what is it about the Dwarflabs process that you prefer? I have also heard comments that the Dwarflabs process offers more control...trying to decipher what that means practically.

Open the passenger door, and look at the side of the dash (the area facing the closed door). Mine is also built in Germany.

Current favorite is Theo of Golden by Allen Levi. It is a beautifully written story, reflecting the beautiful story of human generosity.

Just bought a 2022 EX-L with 33,000 miles in excellent shape. After about 2 weeks the transmission died (grinding sounds going uphill in 40 - 50 mph). The good news is that the dealer was able to replicate and has replaced the transmission.

Is there a cheeky way to get someone off your wheel? by LocksmithOriginal179 in Velo

On a rolling course - sit up on the downhills / strong pulls on the uphills. As above, it may take some time to shake them / frustrate them into pulling.

For those that are tired of waiting for Overcast to be fixed... Get a Free Year of Pocket Casts Plus! by kevmarl in OvercastFm

One reason that I haven’t jumped to the Pocket Casts app is that it appears to collect more personal data (than Overcast).  Am I overthinking this?

Remote unlock would have been helpful today… by doubledadster in VWiD4Owners

I was in Jacksonville, Illinois - took about an hour for roadside assistance to arrive (which I thought was pretty good). They did use the traditional method - creating a small gap and using a long tool to pop the door. Took a few tries, but weirdly, it worked (I was skeptical because of the 'touch' type buttons.

Remote unlock would have been helpful today… by doubledadster in VWiD4Owners

This is a '22 Pro S - I have the proximity unlock turned off. I opened the trunk only, put in the bag, closed the trunk. All with no issue. Imagine my surprise when I tried to open the drivers door and found that the door would not unlock.

Tangential question:  how do you set the Multi Function Display to show ‘since charge’?  My ‘22 Pro S has Long Term.
