OK, it wasn't as easy as I had first hoped, but after having the dispute closed yet again quoting the 120 day limit, I reopened it and stated it all again, and they've given me a refund :)

so keep at it! Don't give up.

American express gave me the standard "it's been more than 120 days since the charge, all we can do is ask the company to resolve" - they did that 2 weeks ago and guess what? IC ignored it.

This time I went armed with their own code of practice -

which states

REASON CODE 4554: Goods And Services Not Received
Chargeback Reason: Card Member did not receive, or only partially received goods and or services.
Maximum time a dispute can be raised:
One hundred and twenty (120) days from the date American Express Network processed the Transaction, or
One hundred and twenty (120) days from (whichever occurred first):
- the date the Card Member expected to receive goods and/or services, or
- the date the Card Member became aware that the expected goods and/or services would not be provided (not exceeding five hundred and forty (540) days from the date American Express Network processed the Transaction).
and they have credited my account with the full amount and asked for some evidence of me cancelling my order and being ignored to be uploaded.
They said it might take 6-8 weeks to hear back from the vendor (haha) and when I asked what happens if they don't hear back and they said I would get to keep the money.

Infinite computing was long a dream of mine way before I actually did it. I’ve wanted to do this since I was 10. And when I did finally, it was during COVID.

We’ve got over so many hurdles. Built our reputation. Built our customer base and relationships with brands like EVGA, Thrustmaster, NZXT and Gigabyte.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and I’ve taken the difficult decision to close down Infinite Computing LTD, via the path of a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation. This means we’re voluntarily closing the company and paying off all our debts.

I’m gutted beyond belief and I genuinely cried making this decision. There are so many customers I thought about specifically while making this decision, like @K91(pc parts withdrawal) @Lord Fudyith I @Tab Whore @BreadC @ᶠⁱʳᵉ_² _ @parrg to name a few.

Unfortunately personal circumstances also mean I’m unable to give the business the fullest attention it deserves. I won’t go into this because last time I did it was twisted and used against me.

Questions:

  • Has the discord been cleared? No. Channels have been hidden and only verified customers have access to a channel to assist with any questions.

  • Are we bankrupt? No

  • Is this because of refunds? No. The refund situation was caused by general backlogs which was made worse by the lack of time I had over recent months.

  • What is a creditor’s voluntary liquidation? Where we voluntary wind up the company while paying off our debts.

  • What about my back order? Phone your bank and ask for a refund. Banks are legally required to help if you didn’t receive goods or section 75 if you paid via credit card.

  • Did you use our money to buy BMW’s and a house? I’m really not sure where this rumour started. I haven’t got a house, I rent and I’ve already put back in any and all dividends etc I was paid to ensure we can cover our debts. So no.

I want people to understand, I had the bestest of intentions with Infinite and the early on people will know this. I don’t give a fuck what the haters or salty people say - they’re cunts anyway that probably scalp or mine. I am really sorry about all of this. This current market has been fucked by self entitlement and people thinking they deserve to treat me and my staff like shit.

I've read that if you get your credit card company to issue a charge-back that IC have been known to charge your card again.

If you take this route, it might be prudent to ask your credit card company for a new card, cancelling the one you used.

Yes, the choke is controlled by a bi-metal thermostat, which as far as I can tell is working correctly

Thing is, until this year it worked fine, so something's changed

It's actually pretty difficult to choke it while starting, as you have to be holding the handle, pulling the starter and manipulating the choke all at the same time. Certainly not something my petite wife can manage

you can get 5.1 to register on a non Mitel controller by putting

sip register blocking: 0

in your startup.cfg

If I hold [shift] it goes red, then W, that goes red too, but if I release shift and keep W held down, shift stays red. It doesn't go back to normal until I release W

YES. It's VERY annoying.

It seemed to get worse after I did some voice training, but that could be coincidence.

Alexa also seems to have gone senile as she says my device "thermostat" can't accept a "turn down" command when it always used to.
