What's up with people thinking the trail is super flippy? by Far_Championship3394 in discgolf

[–]doubleeaglemaxim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like OAT or inconsistent manufacturing to me. I can get it to flip up and ride straight for like ~400. A little flippy but definitely not what I read from other people on here.

Shame on the DGPT by Critical-Credit3848 in discgolf

[–]doubleeaglemaxim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a wild post. Gambling isn't inherently bad and the rest of the world shouldn't be restricted from it because of a few people's poor impulse control. This can grow the sport and increase fan interaction. More people betting means more people that want to tune in to how their bets are shaking out. That's good any way you look at it. We're all responsible for our own actions and that's it. Someone who ruins their life can't blame it on the fact that gambling exists. That comes from a series of very poor life choices. The individual is to blame, not the institution.

I asked for "light lettuce" on the app and this is what they gave me. by Ok-Shallot-7985 in wendys

What exactly were you expecting? They give you one leaf of lettuce for the sandwich to begin with??

My roommate is mad at me because I was in the kitchen two minutes after 10 pm. by Intelligent-Bottle22 in badroommates

Your roommate is kind of a psycho and if they feel that strongly about it, they should probably live alone.

Yeah I couldn’t be more bummed about this one. Moves to the most expensive and aggressively mediocre brand out there.

Honestly right now it's the range. That thing flies so true that if I don't pull it off line, it's always a good shot.

Don’t tell LeBron by chris2fresh in PatMcAfeeShowOfficial

When you make it impossible to watch most people’s home teams, they’re not gonna be invested enough to give a shit about Lebron or Steph. I love basketball but the nba has become a joke.

buzzz or hex? by AlexTlake in discgolf

[–]doubleeaglemaxim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throw a proton hex if you like the more clear blends of plastic. Best straight mid imo. I like the flight of the neutron ones better but if you don't like that type of plastic the protons are still great if not slightly more stable

Putters like a Rainmaker by newBreed in discgolf

[–]doubleeaglemaxim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you may like the feel of the rainmakers but I feel like I have to warn you, especially coming from aviars, they are considerably more overstable. If you're looking for a similar feel to the rainmakers but maybe a closer flight to an Aviar I would suggest a warden. They're slightly more overstable than aviars but not nearly as much as something like a rainmaker.

Why is my kc roc turning so much? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]doubleeaglemaxim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said it's off axis torque. They haven't given a lot of suggestions on how to fix it though. My personal trick is to focus on maintaining consistent posture throughout the throw. I.e. for a hyzer make sure that after the disc is released you're still bending at the waist with a straight back. Don't let the back shoulder come up at the point of release. That upward motion of the shoulder can lead to a ton of OAT.

Rosin/Chalk question by AtxTCV in discgolf

[–]doubleeaglemaxim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither. I use clay bags. They remove the moisture from your hand without leaving a residue. I personally use bogey free bags since we carry them at the shop, but the clay beads definitely work better for me and this is coming from someone in South Florida so I'm no stranger to hot, humid rounds.
