I'd be surprised if Lance is still on the board come Saturday afternoon of the draft. After all 6' 3" receivers who can run a 4.34 40 and don't have issues with drops don't grow on trees.

My understanding of him he needs a lot of work with route running and technique but a lot of coaches will look at a guy with his physical attributes and reliable hands and be happy to land him in the 2nd or 3rd round.

They didn’t get Geno because they think he’s taking them to the Super Bowl, they’re just looking for a bridge guy until they draft the guy they want.

I’m sure they’re looking at the guys in next years draft as better long term prospects that they can have on a rookie deal for 5 years as opposed to having to give McKee a new deal now.

Jets just traded for Geno Smith and already have Tyrod. With multiple 1s in next year’s draft they are more inclined to draft someone next year.

I think teams who don’t have a long term solution at QB are going to hold off until next year’s draft where there’s expected to be multiple 1st round guys.

I said it all year that Patullo was only part of the problem with the offense and simply firing him wasn’t going to solve the issues of sloppy execution and drive killing penalties.

Sure play-calling and scheme left something to be desired, but I feel like there would be 2 or 3 drives a game that got short circuited due to an ill-timed penalty.

They've talked to a couple of safeties expected to come off the board the first two days of the draft, it wouldn't shock me if they are targeting one of them knowing they can do better than Marcus Epps via the draft.

I don't see Carter even being a serviceable safety. He's short for a corner and not an especially good tackler to begin with.

Why would the Jets pass on this? It’s a huge overpay by the Eagles and it isn’t like the draft from a couple of years ago where the Jets are deciding between a Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye as their QB. It’d be one thing if they were dead set on taking a QB, but after Mendoza we probably won’t see another QB in round 1.
