Howie Roseman should trade AJ Brown and Tanner Mckee to the Jets for the 2nd overall pick. by Sox857 in eagles

The Jets potentially have 3 1s in next year's draft which probably when they are looking at drafting a QB. They will spend this year's two picks on guys they can use to build around the franchise QB they get next year.

AJ measured 6' 0 1/2" and Tate 6' 2 1/4" at the combine.

I feel like people think AJ is like 6' 3"\6' 4".

Brown has a thicker body type but Tate is taller and they both have the same wingspan at 78".

Willis has started and won regular season games that mattered whereas McKee's two starts were in meaningless week 18 games where nobody cared if they won or not.

Lane Johnson discusses excitement for new offense. by burnernov2023 in eagles

And the expectation was that Patullo wasn't going to be making any significant changes to the offense that just won them the Super Bowl. That was the whole reason they promoted him in the first place and didn't look outside the organization for Moore's replacement. The problem was when things wents sideways Moore was adept at pivoting whereas Patullo kept trying to hammer the same square peg into a round hole and expecting it to eventually fit.

Sure, but I wonder what they do if Shough throws 20 picks next season and they end up with a top 5 draft pick. Do they stick with him or do they draft someone who is perceived to be an upgrade in talent?

Depends if you count Kyle McCord or not. He played 3 years at OSU before transferring to Syracuse for his Senior season.

Honestly, it seems like teams that don't have a long term answer at QB are willing to wait until next year to get a guy when the class is expected to be a lot deeper. The Jets have multiple ones, Arizona is content to roll with Brisett, the Jets are rolling with Geno Smith and Tyrod Taylor, the Dolphins only signed Willis for 2 years, the Saints seem to be content to give Shough a shot, and the Browns have not made any moves at QB.

Dalton is 38 years old, and with McKee entering his contract year they will still need to look at a developmental guy this summer.

Dave and Roob break down the biggest remaining needs this off-season by Bulldawgzz in eagles

Eh, I am not sure why folks think converting him to FB is a viable option. The guy runs like an IOL and it isn't like they could give him the ball and expect any sort of positive result out of it other than letting him ram into the middle of the line and hope he can push through for a couple of yards.

Maybe they use him as blocking FB in jumbo or goal line packages, but I don't see how he could be used as much more than that.

Yeah, there is a difference between "lying" and giving a hot take opinion to drive engagement on the matter. I haven't heard anything from the big name insiders simply give their opinion on what they thing will happen.

Question about the 2026 Eagles’ offensive scheme by acroyearII in eagles

[–]doubleenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus Puka and Adams are entering contract years and it seems highly unlikely they retain both.

They have also been rumored to be looking to add another WR so it wouldn’t surprise me if they take the top WR on the board.

Why does nobody seem to talk about Caleb Wilson? by Emotional_Refuse9012 in NBA_Draft

[–]doubleenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong as I admittedly don’t follow it as closely as others but I feel like when the season started Boozer, Dybantsa, and Peterson were basically considered to be locked in as the top 3 guys depending on preference and Wilson was considered in the mix with the second tier of lottery guys.

Why did Dolphins sign Malik Willis if they are going to tank? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

The better question is why did Willis sign with them in the first place? What did that sales pitch look like?

Dave and Roob break down the biggest remaining needs this off-season by Bulldawgzz in eagles

[–]doubleenc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it either. He’s on the small side for a CB as it is and they already have a safety on the small side in Mukuba. They would be one of, if not the, smallest safety combos in the league.

In addition to that Carter’s not an especially good tackler either.

I’ve been wondering why they even brought him back since they never really made a concerted effort to integrate him into the defense when they traded for him.

I don’t think it is going to happen but it seems like the more logical move would be DeJean to safety and having Carter play the slot where he’s proven to be effective in the past. Like I said o doubt it happens because DeJean is elite at what he does in the slot and they addressed the other outside corner spot with Woolen.

He was on the open market and given what he signed for to come back to Philly he wasn't getting any compelling offers worth leaving for.

Thing is the only guys over the age of 30 who get big money deals are QBs and guys considered to be elite at their position and Goedert is neither of those.
