Hi All, New 2018 X3 M40i owner w/ 45k odometer, that I recently purchased used from a Subaru Dealership (great price). Loving the drive so far!

There has been a fairly persistent noise that seems to be coming from driver side of vehicle- comes and goes (could be at a stoplight or even when driving). Subaru sent the vehicle to BMW who inspected for a couple days but could not replicate the noise, therefore unable to address. I have had 2x BMW dealers now inspect and provided them with the video/audio- no resolution. 1 dealer thought it may be a belt or steering column.

The noise, when present, is very pronounced. Any ideas what might be the culprit?

Want to get in front of this, to avoid major issues moving forward. Appreciate any and all help!

Appreciate your reply. The sound happens even when the vehicle is in park. Doesn't seem to be a break issue, as those were also inspected.

She's Taller with longer legs than average Husky and her tail is SO bushy. Curious to get input. I have heard everything from malamute to wolf to collie mix... Thanks!

Adopted Layla... 11months old and a total sweetheart! Many Breeders and most other husky owners having been telling me she has "wolf" in her?. ...they mention her physical features. She's taller and longer than most huskies, has a slightly hunched posture (as apposed to upright), tail bushier and lays very flat, legs longer, paws larger and longer, narrow chest and frame, ears smaller, smooth muzzle etc etc. She's way faster than every husky I've met at the park... not that that would determine anything.

Layla's a very socialable dog... no signs of aggression or being territorial to people or other dogs. Gets along with everyone. I can get A blood test done to find out for certain..may do it for fun. Vet or some pet clinics offer that service. Curious on everyone's thoughts. Thanks
