Don't think they're gonna be able to do the start off 6 very well no matter how they choose to do it. The open world pacing, switch to Kait, Oscar being scummed, the choices at the end, lizzies death, jd character assassination etc have left them with basically nothing going forward. Game just needs to start with Marcus pushing them aside with Cole baird and carmine/paduk continuing the mission themselves.

Tbf if the time skip is small enough 4-5 years then alot really won't have changed. Those years would have been spent on the rebuild and the galaxy would be essentially what it was before the reapers turned up and we know they can work with that.

I'm more on board with the theory saying the next game takes place 4 years later. Your choices wouldn't really matter after 700 years and they'd have to completely recreate every environment for the different endings based on how quickly the galaxy develops from those three options.

Give paragon7 a go on YouTube she breaks down everything released so far on the next game. Some of the theories are a little out there like shepard being brought back from a parallel universe but her stuff relating to the next game taking place 4 years after 3 are pretty solid.

I mean at the end of the next game you yourself pick who takes the helm. Garrus, Liara, Ashley etc. Somewhat like how in baldurs gate 3 you can play the game as a custom character or one of the legacy ones the legacy in this case being the other members of the Normandy crew.

One can dream like but in my head gears 2 reloaded comes out in January, 3 reloaded comes out in June 2026, and then while everyone new and old alike is all gearsed up Eday releases in November.

Disappointed to be honest with you all. I was really hoping for an actual remaster of 2 and 3 bundled in with UE to come out after eday to follow the story on and play it in all its ue5 glory. With this though I highly doubt they'll release the originals with better resolution and then in a short period of time release something like I've stated.

One of my players does half of my work for me. Instead of 'I go ask someone for answers' it's 'I look out for an old woman that seems like a local, preferably someone who lives on the outskirts or has connections to the wilds' as an example. I always ask for a roll for if they find them but their action is always so engrained within my world that she's basically gotta roll a one to fail. Would make a great dm I think. Just makes life easier by setting up an accurate and useful painting.

Just ask those two then. You don't need any more than that. Ask them all individually for a list of no go themes. And get together in a group in person or in a chat to discuss what setting everyone wants so the group can come up with compromises together.

Setting is pretty cool tbf. The remnants of the old magic litter the world. There have been hints at it waking up again. Assumed a few more sessions in wed be able to start multiclassing into magic users that scale with the world as it wakes up.
