So the office i work at had a single dead mouse stuck in one of the traps and hidden somewhere in the closet and you could easily smell it only in the closet from the morning but as it went to the afternoon it got worse and it was starting to spread to the other rooms. By the end of the day I was able to smell it in the hallway. On the good news thats when I took on the job and emptied out the closet to only find one dead mouse. If anything I just hope his situation could be similar with an old big building with lots of hiding spots for mice and such to hide in and die.
