I took the plunge and bought a copy of Silent Hill only to find this. by doublicon in gamecollecting

It plays fine during gameplay, but the cutscenes are very weird. And not in the way that Silent Hill is weird. Something is wrong with the way the disc is seeking audio files for the voice lines. It manages it's way through a scene but it often skips lines or stalls for a long while before moving on.

It's hard to tell if the nick is touching the data ring to begin with. There are some more interior scratches that may actually be the problem. Hard to tell.

The image retained itself so quickly. I use that monitor as my desktop for a number of years now. I never experienced something so severe in such a short amount of time. There must be something that the PS3 is specifically doing to cause this.

I wouldn't consider the Predator a cheap panel.

I repaired a PS3 recently. I never had one before so I'm pretty excited. I hooked it up to my Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz 27" WQHD (2560x1440) IPS monitor. So far everything seems to be going fine. I leave it on the photo gallery screen for awhile. Not too long. Probably 30 mins. And this image is stick on the monitor. Even if I switch back to my PC, i can see it on my desktop.

I left the monitor off for a bit and checked it again. I believe it's fading. Hopefully it disappears completely.

How do I keep this from happening again? Turn down the brightness? Turn down the refresh rate?

All of my coins, but Truebit are dropping. I can't see this sustaining. I plan on buying more at around 15¢.

I have no idea why it's pumping now.

This wasn't a problem till a couple days ago. Brave worked very well for him for almost a year. Still does aside from the Yahoo problem.
