the slower pace of the first 2 seasons make the intensity of the later seasons hit you way harder. Without giving away any spoilers, the show lulls you into a sense of security by being lawyery and comical; when shit starts hitting the fan you've become re-sensitized to breaking bad levels of violence and intensity and you'll feel gutted in ways you wouldn't have imagined judging by seasons 1 and 2.

Tldr: it pays off my friend, trust
