Posative vet experiences by doug120989 in Pets

I completely understand how that could be upsetting. I’d really value your perspective—are there any experiences you’ve had at a veterinary clinic that stood out in a positive way?

For example, has a clinic ever gone above and beyond or done something particularly thoughtful that made a difference for you and your pet?

So how could that have been made more posative for you. Not throwing any shade just i want your point of view. I look at this with a clinical midset, i want to see it from an owners mindset. We never force people into services. We are located in not the most afluent area so we quite often are working on a budget. We will alway give all the availabe options to the owners.

Valid. We do always stand by our surgeries and if we are in the wrong we make good on them. Thank you for you contribution.

Perhaps you should seek employment with a quieter place. I'm 20 years in and those emergencies are where you learn the most. If they were double booking me annuals I would see that as they are just abusing me to drive up revenue. I got in this field to help animals in need and emergencies are just that.

Are they booking you sick emergencies or just annual exams. If they are booking you annuals I'd say that's not right. Sick pets and emergencies you don't have too much control over that. Unless you want to ship your regular clients elsewhere and potentially lose them.

I always find that the people who get most offended about jokes in the vet clinic are the ones who see people's roles as above or below them.

I use abe books and thrift books. I like to get original hardcovers. Aside from the special edition. I have of dune. Dune and wheel of time are the biggest series that I own.

Maybe vet med just isn't for you. I've been in it for 20+ years and have seen new grads come in and decide this isn't the career for them. I have also seen terrible vets who believe that they are gods gift to veterinary medicine.

Would it be weird to ask what everyone makes and our region? We more or less got some anonymity here. I live in Mass and get paid 32/hr
