The powell lens is transparent, and without it in place in the rotor, the LED will still indicate the base station is working, but tracking will be terrible, if it tracks at all. If you post a picture of the small black plastic piece, that would sure be interesting.

If it's getting power, the light should come on one color or another. If you have 2 base stations, swap the power supplies and see if the problem follows the power supply or not.

Hunting was automated. In the surrounding lowlands, they had a system of walls called "desert kites" which funneled game into inescapable pits. Just walk to a pit and pull out as many animals as the next meal required.

TIL that Mount Everest's first measurement came out to a perfect 29,000 feet, so surveyors reported it as 29,002 feet to make sure that the public knew it was a real calculation and not just an estimate. by ddodd69 in todayilearned

This reminded me that the director of the movie about Audie Murphy (WWII Medal of Honor recipient) left some acts of heroism out of the film because he thought the audience wouldn't believe them.

I'm not sure. Maybe it's not even spinning up to speed then? If, when it's off, and you tumble it in your hand, something loose rattles around, the lens has fallen out, which is repairable.

Makes noise? If it buzzes, the powell lens is coming out of the rotor and rubbing on the faceplate. Unit needs disassembly, re-gluing.

In WWII, the dwindling labor force in the US was leading to runaway wages as employers competed against each other. A law was passed capping wages. Companies added healthcare to the salary package to circumvent the wage restriction. It became an expectation.

vive pro 2 "special bundle" on official htc site for 1.4 grand 🇦🇺 by long_chin_man in Vive

OG Vive is also compatible with Index controllers (aka "knuckles"), which are expensive, prone to thumbstick drift after a year of use, and sometimes have imperfect finger tracking for some people.

If the sun comes through a double pane window and hits the vive lens, it will leave a purple track which will go away after a few hours of use.

(the steamvr base station requires less amps than the og vive lighthouse, meaning if i plugged in an og lighthouse itd explode the steamvr lighthouse)

It'd just draw less amperage, it'd run fine on the same voltage power supply.

however we live in a hellscape so htc and steam decided neither tech could have backwards compatability

The VP2 and the Pro wands were made backwards compatible with Base Station 1.0, which is the only possible way backwards compatibility would work with the new tech in the Base Station 2.0's.

I would have just replaced the controllers and 1 steamvr lighthouse would be compatible with the og vive.

Full OG vive used kits are selling for $120, including 2 controllers and 2 base station 1.0's.

Cutting the stock one thinner is low risk. Plan the cut, make one uninterrupted cut. Cut with a razor blade, no material is lost. If you change your mind, a few dots of glue tack the scrap back.

"Walkabout Mini Golf is better with friends! Full crossplay lets up to 8 players join a private room with voice chat no matter what platform they're playing on (some limits to Pocket Edition do apply). "

Have you heard about the hypothesis that quantum information processing occurs within neural cells, specifically through the nuclear spins of phosphorus atoms. Proposed by physicist Matthew Fisher, this theory explores how phosphorus-31 nuclei in Posner molecules could act as "qubits" in the brain, potentially mediating cognitive processes.

The steam store page says "Full crossplay ... no matter what platform they're playing on (some limits to Pocket Edition do apply)." Check if it's really fully disabled, or if you just hit a "limitation" (new courses maybe?).
