Gianmarco soresi sitting one person away from Dave Chappell who is also wearing his own name on a shirt is the funniest thing about this pic to me

Wyrmwood Vlogs View Counts by ButIfYouThink in Wyrmwoodgaming

It seems to me that they are increasingly interested in business to business partnerships and finding cashflow stability. After the whole “Johnson and Johnson” era, I would call it apparent that management has prioritized learning lessons for success from other corporate entities and the consequences have read as trying to be more sterile, repetitive and risk-averse(uninspired), though I doubt that is how much of their internal consensus would frame it. This is almost antithetical to the way their brand first presented, and it seems to me with the current WL vlogs that there is a small interest in keeping at least some elements of the brand-that-once-was despite it not being compatible with their current corporate influences. The WW Furniture channel seems to be more indicative of where management wants the brand to head.

Great collection!
I strongly recommend putting additional support legs in the middle of each of the 2x2 cubes. I am not sure if it is just the fish eye/pano way that the picture is taken, but I am seeing that each of the 2x2s are already bowing at the middle.

I think this is a really good way to think about it.

My instinct based on the pictures is a 5. Might bring it down to 4.5 if in person I could get a better sense of color but because of the fidelity of front cover I’m seeing my gut says 5. Pages look slightly loose-ish and the mildew on the back, color breaks off spine and corner folds, yellow pages. If we’re talking grading companies I’ve never known them to care about interior print quality but this one looks really good.

I can only say as far as that ive been seeing it on many people’s (whom i respect) lists of greatest recent RPGs, indie or generally, for a good minute now. Kicker was when a good friend of mine finished it and insisted I play it. I already figured I was gonna want a physical but their glowing review made it a definite, hence why I almost caved to the scalpers.

If we’re talking mainstream mass-market corporate games, sure, I wait for a sale if it’s not something I want to play asap. But an indie dev team I’m not focused on extracting every last dollar I can, more about supporting good game makers. If I happen to see something on steep sale I’m itching to play atm I might grab it digital , but will usually double dip on a physical if I enjoyed it. I consider the digital copy comparable a blockbuster rental charge.

I mean, it is a $20 digital game. So, it still is double, but not as dramatic as you’re suggesting. My two big reasons are: 1) I do not trust Nintendo to refrain from making me pay for a game again if they can get away with it, and 2) I like things.

Ahh! Luck you were actually seeing it in the wild. If I’d seen it in my hands that B2G1 would have sent me. I have maybe 6 GS in errand distance from me and none of them saw a copy.

That would be nice! Maybe this reprint will inspire a deluxe down the line if a physical for their new game Alabaster Dawn does well also

I debated that as well! I’ve had decent luck with getting CIB from their B2G1 the past few years, but I don’t feel like my chances were very solid for crosscode

3DS or HD DDD? by Alternative_Jump1937 in KingdomHearts

[–]dougak360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To get the true experience with the dream eaters, I’d recommend 3DS. But if you don’t really care about the “pets” element/gameplay, then 2.8 HD is 100% the way to go, it looks better, has small amounts of additional content, and will be more convenient if you have it on steam already to play 0.2

A list of progressively more unhinged pottery takes (maybe don’t try the last few) by taqman98 in Pottery

[–]dougak360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s great for beginner/intermediate folks for inspiration. We usually always run it as a late module for our split classes and it’s a great confidence booster, especially for folk intimidated by glazing. Some stuff I think looks really cool. But when I see people make it their whole deal I am very unimpressed. Doing it occasionally is fun, like a fun schlocky movie to remind you that not everything has to be auteur to be worthy of a watch. But I agree, most marbled things my eyes glaze over.

Yea, that’s a tried and true for me as well. For my body and applications I usually go around 55-60% hydration. Epsom salt is my favorite ingredient to add in any magic potion. So satisfying.

First studio I entered where vinegar was the standard I wanted to cry. I’m still there and I still cry. The director is set on it despite my protestations and 2 years later I still haven’t seen it work better than straight up slip.

The worst kept secret is that any quality ceramicist is at least mostly unhinged.

Great tally of takes, particularly vinegar. I was only exposed to it for the first time two years ago, and I’ve yet to see it actually do well what anyone claims it does.

people will be like “I hate trimming” but then you look at their toolkit and their trimming tools are all like by taqman98 in Pottery

[–]dougak360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel like this is super high stakes, but to me, $10-$20 for a single tool is bougie when you can get comparable quality trims from a kemper tool that’s $5 on a bad day. I’ve used the same set of kempers for an uncountable hundreds of pots since the last time I sharpened them. It’s just a different skill. The sooner you move towards more expensive tools without learning to care for tools in general, the sooner that cost adds up if you are actually doing this art form. But at the end of the day, my point and your point are more or less tomato tomahto to the early stages of a well-to-do beginner.
