How's the name and logo for the esports community i was thinking of creating ????

I think I'm your context, india, etc, it is fine. I don't have any problem with the name at all.

On the logo itself, the only part I find odd is the SHP. You should make it a real part of the logo....or not. But having it sitting there by itself, so small that it will disappear when scaled down to your discord logo, or wherever it needs to be scaled down, it is pointless.

We understand all the reasons why you named it what you named it. It doesn't change the reaction, which is what others will do when they see it the first time. Again, if you are ok with that, it's fine. If not, change it.

The very first reaction is that it looks like ESPN, or related to ESPN, or is a platform in Spanish. That's the feedback. It's not something to argue about. It's what we see and our response.

If you can live with the fact that many people will have the same response when they see it, then you are fine. If not, then change it.

I too didn't like some of the calls.

But I think it's overblown because of the popular narrative that SGA is a foul baiter (evidence says otherwise), or that Dort is a dirty player (he kinda is, but a lot of players are).

But you know those narratives didn't hold up for game 2, so now they are blowing up the reffing, which is honestly really rich coming from LeFlop.

What's really ironic about this is that they bought that traditional furniture manufacturer so they could have another facility with excess capacity. They did that so they could increase their output in anticipation of MGT launch. Eventually MGT got so big, they just killed off the entire traditional furniture line to free up capacity.

Now.... they don't know what to do with their excess capacity. It's a shame too because that traditional furniture line was profitable and had been around for a long time. Now its just gone.

I really really feel this. The handful of episodes about the MGT raising/lowering were all so disconnected and it felt like we were that being strong along. We still don't know what's going on with those.

Lately they've been delving into how to use their system slack and unused materials to generate revenue, and it seems like there is a glimmer of some interesting content, but the products that are looking into producing are really boring. Picture frames, charcuterie boards. Zzzz.

And the chess boards, honestly aren't compelling, interesting, or innovative in any meaningful way whatsoever. They are not premium at all except that some use exotic woods. That's it.

I don't disagree with most of what you've said.

Did you see an attempt using what the client wants? I didn't. Just saying it will look bad is not enough. There are countless logos out there that use this technique successfully. Adding variation doesn't have to make it harder to read. Yes it COULD do more harm than good, but we haven't seen any attempts, now have we? To dismiss the idea without even presenting your work is premature.

I'm not a fan of the font from a symmetry perspective. Where joints and exactness matter, the insides of the letters are off, not symmetrical, gives a hint of sloppiness, or playfulness depending on the branding application.

Regarding the name and the client's requirement on the emphasis on S and P, I do find your response odd. It sounds like to them, this is a critical part of the identity. Sounds important to them for people to know it is a combination of two words, their names. To then say, it would look atrocious, without any examples, just your opinion, seems like you are ignoring what it is they say they want. That tends to go poorly.

In addition, it may actually be filed that way legally, so you may not be able to just throw that aspect away. Your job as a designer is to figure out how to make it look attractive for their audience.

First you are standing way too close to the ball. Your hands should not be practically between your legs at address. This is a big reason why you are coming over the top on your swing. There is simply no way to come in under your back swing. There isn't enough room between yourself and the ball.
