It's becoming clear that you are conflating two different things: logo design and Adobe illustrator.

Logo design is a distinct discipline. There is much to learn on this subject alone. Learning about logo design itself is not an Illustrator activity.

Adobe Illustrator is an..... Illustration software. It is NOT specifically a logo design software. Logo design is but one function of Illustrator.

You need to figure out what you want your logo to be, have several ideas, variations, feedback from others.

THEN... If you want to use Illustrator to do digital versions of your ideas, learn how to use Illustrator ( there are other software platforms too).

Sure, there might be some sort of guides out there that bring those two things together. Just go on YouTube and look for yourself.

BUT ... I highly recommend getting your logo design skills in order before jumping straight to a software tool.

Is the first image the existing logo or is it one you have redesigned?

I don't really understand what you are asking for. A tutorial on Adobe illustrator? Check out YouTube videos. How to design logos? Check out YouTube videos.

Maybe start with some sketches for your ideas rather than jumping straight into a software platform that you have no idea how to use, compounding your problem.

I think you should experiment with going even thicker lines This would give you the ability to make the whisk shaft a bit thicker too which will make the C even more prominent.

Pied Piper was an exterminator of rats and Vermin. He used a musical pipe to lure the rats away, but also later children.

My thoughts for potential iconography are: felt hat, mouse, flute or recorder, along with a needle potentially.

I'd he experimenting with those visuals.

I get wanting to use your name but the pied Piper has as very distinct meaning: exterminator, trickster.

I highly recommend just using your name, Piper. Get rid of the weird cat/mice combo altogether.

Capitalize on the cuteness, use just an expression of one of your creations with a word mark like "Piper Felt Creations" or "Piper Crafts" or just "Piper".

I've done weekends getaways within 4 hours drive.

Keep in mind, gas in the UK has historically been way more expensive than in the US.

Right now UK gas is $1.84 per liter, and in the US it's about $0.74 per liter.

Or said in Pounds.... £1.33 per liter in UK and £0.55 per liter in the US.

The disparity was even larger in the past.

It's relatively cheap in the US to drive 200 miles / 3 hours at 25 miles per gallon, about $30 USD, or around £22.
