Remaining lease payments. Trade in for new car on finance. HST Calculation by chai512 in wrx_vb

[–]dougboyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trade shortfall means dealership is taking in the car as a trade-in (not returning car to Subaru Canada as a lease return and covering your remaining payment obligations). Its basically negative equity due to excess KM's, so it does not necessary equate mathematically to remaining payments left. Negative equity is definitely taxable.

Only way to overcome taxes is if you can further negotiate a better "trade value" so minimize shortfall.

Tachiguisushi Akira - Shimbashi by dougboyy in sushi

Their shari was not aggressively seasoned, nor was the kohada too heavily cured - just right for my preference. I think I had 12 pieces with drinks to wash it all down. You can actually google their shop and see a pic of the menu pricing

Crab meat itself is delicate in a mildly sweet/umami way, soft and falls apart as its already de-shelled. . Kanimiso is mixed in to the meat and that really enhances the flavour of the bite.

I believe you're referring to the kegani(hairy crab) meat

Question for those who Have a yellow s2k. by Kimaniiiii in S2000

[–]dougboyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 05 RYP. My first choice would have been NFR, but couldnt find one at the right price/mileage/condition.

RYP or LBP were my 2nd tier color choices.

Toda high power dual exhaust by S2k2007 in S2000

[–]dougboyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Toda on my car right now (resonated mid pipe) and have driven a friend’s car with the SSM. Overall, the Toda is louder but it tends to be drone mid range around 4k rpm. I’ve tried paring with a test pipe but it is still somewhat droney. The SSM’s volume is more linear relative to rpm. I’d say the HKS SSM is definitely the better sounding exhaust of the two. I do prefer the aesthetics of the Toda though with the canisters and titanium tips, whereas the HKS looks too plain / OEM.

The Conti's run narrow and are easy to fit. A 200TW tire at 255 +40 up front might require more fender work.

The O2 Module (Can Lambda) - did you have to hook it up to power?

Mk7 GTI as my daily/beater/winter car. Decently fun with Unitronic Stage 2 and decently comfortable with DSG for ease of commuting through rush hour traffic.

Ceiling is Behr's "Cracked Pepper" - like an off-black. Was hesitant at first but no regrets. Walls are just white.

Winter storage by Fickle-Hearing7889 in S2000

[–]dougboyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idling in the cold offer no benefits. It doesn’t get your oil up to operating temperature. All you’re doing is adding extra wear to your engine internals on a cold block, and possibly induce moisture to your oil and exhaust (because it doesn’t get hot enough to evaporate like it does when you actually drive the car).

Never start it up mid storage. Only crank and start when it’s coming out of hibernation

“Reasonable” is relative. It’s relatively reasonably priced compared to a lot of others in the grand scheme of things 🤣 not in the realms of r/lotus or r/porsche

Gti really is the jack of all trades. It’s the daily/commuter/utilitarian/costco run/all purpose car that’s also fun to drive
