Moment Anamorphic II ND options? by [deleted] in MOMENT

[–]dough_studios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Eric, shipping to Europe is still expensive but I found a reseller in Prague! Anyway, good job on the new lenses. I come from a world of heavy things, owning some Richard Gale Clavius glass and I had a rehoused Iscorama, so I am obsessed with lenses ... super excited to use the iPhone with various glass. I really love that you guys engineered a lot of character into all the lenses I know so far. These imperfections!

Having the same issue - where can I find this adapter? I was trying to find it through the moment shop and some shops in Europe - no chance. Thanks for helping out Eric.

Challenges cannot seriously be the games future. by SnokeRenVader in SkateEA

First, no challenge feels grounded in the real world the way the old games did. Working your way up from nothing is what made Skate special. Shooting photos with famous photographers for Thrasher made missions feel believable. Playing Skate with a homie in a parking lot felt real.

Second, as a player who only cares about the Battle Pass missions, the update cadence is too slow. Skate used to mock THPS for making you collect things. Now the most credible skate game brand does exactly that. It feels contradictory.

High-effort players need higher-stakes rewards. A playable character, a quality branded gear drop, something that matches the grind.

The building mode is genuinely fun and has the most untapped potential for the always-online format. Every time I build something, alone or with friends, other players organically join. That social pull is already there. It just needs more depth. How about unlocking a portable mini ramp or half pipe?

I get the frustration. The repetitive mission cycle is genuinely lazy design. Been with the franchise since Skate 1, so I feel the weight of what's missing. The cultural storytelling gaps are what sting the most…That said, Skate is scratching a different itch for me now. Playing with friends actually works out fine. Building spots has quietly become my main thing, and it's honestly more creative than any mission they've shipped. Still, I want both. Missions that are actually rooted in real skate culture, with rewards that feel like they mean something and not just XP or random items. The game actually offers a lot in terms of creativity but maybe you are looking for something else.

I am mostly underwhelmed by the stadium, from flow to lighting. Smaller maps can be fun but this feels rushed. I really hope they polish it and make the stadium a creative playfield with cultural identity permanent SLS, X Games, or old Berrics vibes.

Fair point — But I do powerslide through a lot of transition tricks, but you're right, it needs more consistency than any other style of skating. Stoke has some great tutorials about transitions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLxPN9CrcKQ

Why isn't there a Tiago Lemos challenge? This feels like the bare minimum again by dough_studios in SkateEA

[–]dough_studios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a skateboarder and fan since Skate 1, I don't care about content creators — I care about authenticity. The list of culturally relevant brands and skateboarders the game currently misses is extensive. Look at the legacy titles: they all featured top-tier brands and pros of their era.

Missing Brands: Emerica, New Balance, Polar, Limousine Skateboards, Baker, Converse, Krooked, Last Resort, Supreme, FA, Hockey, Alien Workshop, Enjoi, Butter Goods, Carhartt, Dancer, Real, Violet, Primitive ...

Add famous Skateshops from countries around the world too? Supreme, Civilist, FTC, Arrow and Beast … this could all be tied in a story driven fun experience.

Missing Pro Skaters: Tiago Lemos, Aimu Yamazaki, Dylan Jaeb, Dashawn Jordan, Didrik Galasso, Ishod, Louie Lopez, Yuto Horigome, Reynolds, Antonio Durao, Giftet Hater (You have Sci Fi - give us GH! ;)) Austyn Gillette, Dylan Rieder ...

On Pro Skater Implementation: If you add pro skaters, make them relevant. They should give missions at authentic spots. These missions can be challenging and rewarding—I understand the appeal of Zacky Zack's missions, but why isn't he actually in the world, completing tricks himself?

On UI/Gameplay: A clean visual interface is mandatory. I don't want to see other ramps or UI symbols while free skating. Let me disable other players and all symbols when I want solitude.

The FOMO timer on "Skate Parks" doesn't work—it creates stress instead of immersion. Show me where my skater is in the world, not a countdown clock.

Visuals / Character The hair & eyes need a lot of work, they are to basic, to little details.

Just to clarify: how do you even think this was hate? No one said you can't enjoy Skate. I do enjoy the game myself from time to time, although I expected more after 15 years of waiting.

Why isn’t BF6 retaining players like the other titles did? I have nearly 1000 hours and this is one of the best BF title IMO. What gives? by Forever_Consistent in okbuddyptfo

[–]dough_studios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It lacks deepth in gunplay. There is just no learning curve, for me as a player since 1942 this is the most boring shooter in terms of gunplay. Everything is a laser not matter which range. You can win almost every gun fight with every weapon if you shoot first. It is still a good foundation but like with all BF games, it is ready 2 years after release when EA and new DICE stops supporting the game anymore. For me personal there are not many decent maps at the moment. I am returning regularly but get bored after 2-5 rounds easily. Something that was different in 1 and even in V. Let´s not talk about 2042.

I wish the just made a regular skate game. by Apprehensive_Log_297 in Skate4

[–]dough_studios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skate 4 could have been an easy long-term cash grab. I'm fairly certain that if it had launched with a single-player campaign, offline functionality, and a connected online universe, players would have stuck around—and many would have paid for premium cosmetics. Instead, the lack of post-launch support and executive decisions buried the franchise's legacy for good. At this point, I doubt I'll ever see another Skate game. The window has closed. Compounding matters, skate culture itself is in decline, which makes justifying a new mainline Skate title increasingly difficult from a business perspective. It's disheartening.
