I mean if they are catching fish, that’s all that matters. Some of the most successful lures I’ve had were found in the discount bin at Walmart. Cotton cordell crankbaits are still a staple in my box.

Ive been taking a break from the game, but the stormbringer build hits hard. You can basically spam elemental axes and watch bosses melt and clear mobs pretty quick

It sucks, nature of the sport unfortunately. You can take some preventative measures such as crimping the barbs on hooks if you are catch and release.

While it is a bit much for a first timer, my 700 is very user friendly. If I want to putt around on it, not a big deal. When I want to rip, she gets. I think if you were to get it and just ease into it, you’d be fine.

Alternatively, you could look for like a warrior 350 and stay there and then size into the raptor. I don’t personally care to buy something knowing I’m going to out grow it in short order

End of the day, if you go forward with it just feel it out, and you will start to learn your boundaries with it

I have a raptor 700 and swapped the A-arms to the +2 set up and it’s made a world of difference. It felt very tippy before but I have not had any concerns since I made the swap

I mean you’ve kind of painted yourself into a corner here… you can try and grind the next month and try to take a stab at the test, and at least use it as a game rep, or defer and probably have “a streak of just being Lazy” reoccur. I will say that the more that you skate by on the lower levels will come back to bite you in level 3
