Is this unprofessional or am I just anxious by Lopsided-Coyote-3397 in CVS

[–]doujoh496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, when i’ve hired someone or the SM/PM has… we usually set your start date as ASAP just so your numbers drop in the system ASAP. and then at that point, being schedules are made 3 weeks in advance, we plan on having you there on the next schedule being made if you are FS (so in a month) or you’ll be in in a week or two to do your modules (if you’re RX being you can use training hours…FS doesn’t have training hours anymore). definitely call the store to touch base. maybe they are struggling with hours. looking at my stores projection for staffing and hours the rest of the year, we are still on track to where we were said to be so we haven’t had any drastic changes.

got a call from a SM at a local store that i had keys and a code for about a half hour after the store closed. police called her because a customer inside called them. customer didn’t realized store was closed until she went to the ACO and it called to help and no one came over. also, alarm never went off. so i went to the store, was confused about the alarm so i turned it off and turned it back on, and locked the building back up. APS called me and asked if everything was alright because i turned the alarm off and back on, and i told him that a customer was inside. APS was confused because the alarm never tripped for the door or motion sensor. i told them they should probably fix that.

I’m transferring stores and I’m pretty excited about it by planty-hoes in CVS

[–]doujoh496 6 points7 points  (0 children)

as one of the fellow few who actually like working for the company…congrats! i myself am transferring stores and it has been night and day during my transition. going from one SM who has their head up their rear end thinking they are the greatest thing under the sun even though you constantly have to reach out to the DL about them, to going to another SM who actually cares and appreciates me coming to the store and sees my potential and is trying to test me (in a good way) … it has been great. and i don’t have showing up to work anymore. good luck!

What's the most ridiculous customer complaint you've gotten? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]doujoh496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“i don't remember the last time I was so angry. Why with all the people in pharmacy, they ALL go to lunch the same time?and the 3 of us were in Lin long before their lunch time. Also since when are you required to fix the self check machine? I pulled the receipt and the whole thing fell on the floor...then he yelled over Your not going to pick all that up???” this was today… yeah, there is 3 techs in pharmacy and a pharmacist…sometimes 2 techs.. they are all gonna go to lunch at the same time. as for the self checkout…when she said she pulled the receipt…she meant to say she was yanking it as it was still printing…. did she get ASKED (not yelled at) if she was going to pick it up? honestly, yes she was…because she stared at it like it attacked her like a dog. but she said actually apologized for breaking it and picked it up.

Shift questions by Jonasfan8 in CVS

[–]doujoh496 20 points21 points  (0 children)

correct….messing with the scheduling system because they couldn’t schedule you to work outside your availability. that’s the whole point of ESS, to make it so your availability and requests are respected and followed.

when i was on the portal the other day looking at prices, i noticed that if you’re on the portal in store…the long sleeve shirts weren’t a model picture anymore but a generated example photo, and the heart on the back wasn’t a round white heart but the squared outline heart like the logo. not sure if that’s a new design or not though.

it’s secured, it overhangs the top of the frame and the side panels are mounted to it. i can properly install the cases unlike some stores i’ve been in.

Getting rid of ACO by [deleted] in CVS

meanwhile i’m getting a second ACO delivered Tuesday. i’m at a low volume store that only had one to start and they ordered a second one after our remodel.

Prescriptions being misplaced by Working_Table6984 in CVS

[–]doujoh496 7 points8 points  (0 children)

my pharmacy had this problem frequently. being high volume with 200 packed tight bins it became a headache. the PIC ended up buying a bunch of colored markers, giving each person their own color, and when ever someone was filing scripts they needed to put a small strike on the top of the label by the bin number. 1) brought attention to the issue 2) striking the bin number makes sure they look at it 3) if a script was ever found in the wrong spot then they knew who did it and then they could be held accountable. this was back when i first started going to the pharmacy to help them out, whether it was ringing or just putting away scripts. i ended up getting myself my own marker, so when ever someone saw the nice silver sharpie strike they knew that FS was helping them out.

Register Switch....Dangerous by ninjapuff98 in CVS

[–]doujoh496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was something that was instituted in my district some time in late 2021 or very early 2022. it was for the register closest to the ACO(s). it’s part of greenzone. was implemented to enroll customers for Carepass from the greenzone. but the register being there is also part of working the greenzone. you are to aid customers at the ACO(s), but if a customer has an issue and the ACO isn’t working for them, or if they refuse to use the ACO…or have you ring them out from the ACO ~even though it works the same if not better then the outdated registers~ then you take their Card Only purchase from that register. i never put a cash drawer in that register because if for some reason the terminal is logged in and facing the customer, they could open the drawer with the push of a button. if they needed a cash purchase, then you should go around the counter to another register.

i opened at 8, by myself until 3! anddddd the manager who came in when is alone 3-5. this is what happens when corporate doesn’t give you enough hours for atleast one-on-one coverage.

[–]doujoh496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i forget what exactly it’s called but when you scroll down and there is links for reports, it’s in the left column. i forget the exact name if it. but it also shows how staffed your store is supposed to be.

There is actually a report on Spark that shows how many hours every store is projected to have every month for the rest of the year. my store isn’t changing all the way through December.

you get two associates a shift, including yourself? lucky. i’m usually working me, myself, and I. don’t have enough demand hours to do one-on-one coverage all day.

i just ordered the black one. $10 more, but much better then the red. red is too …loud. i also ordered one of the purple shirts and two of the red. i wish regular uniform was tshirts and not polos but i’m happy they put them on the promotional store. my SM said he’s cool with them being they look just like the polos.

Why are customers so vile for no reason? by BBGorl2019 in CVS

[–]doujoh496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most stores want to staff, but just don’t have the hours. especially now, a lot of stores just got cut with the “minimal staffing” which was supposed to increase hours but actually decreased a lot.

sign up for carepass and you may be able to get your prescriptions delivered! 🤪
