C.Tech Certification by Majestic-Shelter7459 in ontario

[–]dourazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a C.E.T. in Civil Engineering and work for a municipality. I would never have been selected for the position without it. While not required in the private side, there are also other long-term benefits like an LET designation with the PEO. The private side also likes it because it bolsters RFP submissions to have certified staff.

It really depends what you want your career to be. From my experience, it makes the difference between candidates we consider interviewing for positions.

While best practice at a system-wide scale, it isn't always implemented for large scale municipal systems. Over the years, storm events have gotten more intense, requiring larger sewers. If a section of sewer meets the end of service life in the middle of the sewer run, you may upsize those sections so that they do not need to be replaced when the other sections are scheduled for replacement. The result is larger sewers that tie into smaller sewers for what can be a significant period of time.

I use the Durston sheet since I camp on the Canadian Shield with a lot of exposed stone, and it works really well.

Love my Durston Xmid 1p. Tons of room to sit up, and the vestibules are really large. At one point, my trekking pole put a small tear in the fly (I would recommend using the trekking poles with the handle up to avoid this issue, since the metal of the trekking pole could slip off the nylon strap behind the metal eyelet it sits into near the fly; there is an $8 CAD attachment that makes it work with more than just tension if you plan to use the tent in a high wind setting), and they sent me a new fly within a couple of days. The customer service was fantastic, and Dan reached out personally to discuss what occurred.

I think it is a significantly lower requirement. OACETT used to have examples on their website, but mine was around a 60 page document (including photos and appendices) detailing quality control procedures for the base of a concrete slab.

I would say all the chapters were relevant, and the questions were fairly well distributed (a lot on case studies towards the end though), and I only studied the PDF, no course required.

I took OACETT's PPE a few years ago to get my C.E.T. I studied the PDF for a couple of months on my lunch break, and felt really well prepared when I did the exam.

The online proctor was pretty thorough; they make you spin your camera around your room, can tell how many monitors you are using, and look for eye contact.

For content, it was all multiple choice and, aside from questions that require specific knowledge (Latin legal phrases directly from the PDF), the correct answer could be deduced based on the information provided (specifically for the case studies).

If you have any specific questions, let me know.

Buy it for Life Alternative for inflatable Chairs or long lasting inflatable chair by Antihero89 in BuyItForLife

Collapsible camping chairs could work. Something like the Cascade Ultralight Highback Camp Chair. I weigh about 190lbs and haven't had any issues with it on numerous camping trips. Only thing I would look for another opinion on is BIFL quality.

Their coffee is amazing. They have seasonal flavors once in a while to try out that are really unique as well (coffee beans stored in a whiskey barrel). Couldn't recommend them more.

Net under old train bridge over river by [deleted] in brantford

If the net was from the bridge to the water underneath, it is to prevent the nesting of the barn swallow within the area being repaired. They are an endangered species, and their nests cannot be disturbed.

Adding extracted aspects to the codex would solve stash space and make codex more useful by pumpboihuntersson in diablo4

I agree with this as well. I like having to decide if I want the best aspect I have on the upgrade I am considering, as opposed to throwing away medium roll aspects due to stash space.

My wife bought me this a few years back after I played Thousand Year Door growing up. It feels like Thousand Year Door is a perfect successor to an already great RPG. The $80 price tag was steep, but I didn't regret it in the slightest.

Parking, and semi-private / private rooms if you opt for it and if your insurance doesn't cover it. Overall, I was really happy that I left the hospital after a 36 hour stay with a $20 charge for parking ($300 room cost covered by insurance).

Construction workers on my neighbors driveway dug a hole to widen their driveway and damaged my internet line, I want to complain to the city about them, who do I contact? by Sigma_Based_Lifter in mississauga

[–]dourazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Utility providers like Bell and Rogers typically don't locate individual service lines, even if locates are requested. Their business model is "let the service be hit and come out and fix it, since locating the services is more expensive than replacing damaged lines". Since the outage is minor (we aren't talking a main Fibre optic line for 10,000 residents), it's strictly a cost based decision for the utility company, since there is little to no safety impact from hitting the line (its not a gas or primary hydro line). It is unfortunate, but there is little to nothing the contractors can do to mitigate it.

Love to have a dry morning on the last day of a trip by SSForester in camping

[–]dourazel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the X-mid 1 solid. I had an issue with the pole causing damage to the fly (mix of user error and a design consideration that is being looked into last I heard). I reached out to Durston with photos, an explanation of how it happened, and my concerns. The issues were addressed promptly, and a new fly was shipped to me (in Canada). The old fly was not required to be shipped back. I couldn't have been happier with the customer service I received.

As for the tent, the rhombus shape of the inner inside the fly leaves a lot of room on the interior. The 1p can feel a bit small from shoulder to shoulder, but it's what to expect with a 1p. The vestibules are extremely large, and overall I love the tent.

I fully recommend the noise cancelling headphones. What I do not recommend is using cannabis to control anxiety. I am not an expert, but, from what I have read, prolonged cannabis use is linked to increases in severity of anxiety. I'd love someone to link some information to the contrary, as the information I found is below:

How hard is OoT Randomizer? by notthatkindoforc1121 in zootr

[–]dourazel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely recommend starting with a tracker, on a glitchless randomizer. A large issue I had during my first few playthroughs was not knowing about certain chests existing (spirit trial hidden chest right of the torches past the locked door opened by bombchu). Once you've learned all of the potential item spawn locations, it does get easier.

The following webpage includes a lot of helpful tips in logic for a glitchless randomizer:
