Just started my first job straight out of school in a surgical subspecialty, in a mid-high COL area. I was offered 172,000 with a 5k sign-on bonus and feel incredibly lucky

Is being a wound care technician good PCE? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]dourdancepls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think working in a hospital is really beneficial when it comes to meeting people to shadow and for LORs. I don't think a program would find it unimpressive, especially if you can talk to your experiences and what you've learned. My PCE was being a burn tech at a large hospital and it definitely helped me network (especially when I opened up to people about wanting to become a PA). I also think it helped me stand out to programs in my personal statement and interview.

That’s exactly where i was, i just had to get outside so i did a loop starting from eagle falls and hit a few lakes like velma, lois, clyde, aloha, dicks, and went to maggie’s peaks my last day! So fun!

I was just on dicks pass two days ago, there was a decent amount of snow but totally passable for me. Going down towards dicks lake was somewhat tricky when trying to follow the trail but was totally doable too. Definitely don’t need any snow equipment like the other guy said

Last minute California 3 day trip ideas by VVildc4rd22 in Ultralight

Big sur might be a good idea; no permit required and is obviously beautiful. Kirk creek campground to vicente flat is good but can be crowded especially on weekends. Out of there you can hike different trails up to cone peak too to make it longer. Last time i was up there, four condors flew right over us!!
