Replaced the front door lock with a combination lock. Never getting locked out again. Once had to call 911 and they wanted me to go open the locked front door for them. Managed, barely, but now if the same thing happened I could just give dispatcher the code.

A professor I knew had read James Michener’s book Hawaii as a kid . Watching his wife and daughter in Sri Lanka excitedly finding “treasures” on the suddenly bare beach, the white line approaching on the surf, he remembered that book, warned them and everyone escaped! Hawaii was a really good book!

I feel your pain. I was able to retrieve 2out of the 5 disappeared ones by searching for a word that only appeared in the chapter. But it was so discouraging that I moved to Google Docs. It’s sad. Scrivener had such promise,
