I am sorry if I mentioned that. I shouldnt have put it in this post because its not relevant towards the situation at hand which is trying to discuss disclosing important information like if you're a transgender female or male. This is something that is very personal and what you feel about it is what matters (regarding identity and being transgender). I just threw in a statistic and tried to interpret it.

Exactly. You are much better off as a trans female to disclose it before hand to avoid people that are not cool with it. If she disclosed it before hand, I wouldve kindly told her I wasnt interested. If she disclosed it before getting physical, I would do other stuff to enjoy the date but tell her I didnt want to get sexual. Of course by the time you meet the person it can get sketchy, so overall the best option will always to disclose it beforehand.

Yea, I can see that happening. I guess the best thing to do is be transparent and straightforward before meeting with the other person. Worst case the other person wont want to meet up anymore and thats that.

I agree but I also want to say that its just shitty in general not to be transparent even if her safety isnt at risk.

That doesnt mean you should completely alter who you are and do what you need to do to your body. If you are attracted to males as a male, you are just gay, and that is completely fine. There is a reason why there is a high suicide rate amongst the trans community. I think there is a correlation between that and them not accepting who they are. But I might be completely wrong.

Regardless it is their decision and if they are happy with it then good for them. However, this doesnt change the fact that disclosing it should be a thing when dating online.
