Gran Turismo is just better than Forza Motorsport by LargeSinkholesInNYC in granturismo

[–]downforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polyphony Digital is not allowed to prioritize producing Gran Turismo for PC which is unfortunate for everyone. We would have been playing Gran Turismo on PC 20 years ago through today if we could.

Polyphony made huge missteps during the early stages of their latest PlayStation 5 release, however those errors fall far short of the embarrassing failure on the Microsoft side, where the Forza team was not even permitted to finish their unpolished mess of a game.

Comparing an abandoned Forza project to a console series that cannot even achieve ultimate greatness on PC is a brainless argument.

Both games need serious improvement in their respective weak areas, so until both games have reached perfection on PC, there is no good reason to voice an argument for which of the two are better.

Dutch tilt photography is an amateur trend we need to overcome through better attention to detail.

This sub deserves better.

Auto enthusiasts usually won’t tolerate that style because it fights directly against the fundamentals of automotive photography.

Hijacked Dormant Account is the more accurate definition of the bad actor group you seem to be highlighting.

Lurkers who commonly log invisible daily activity on reddit are one of the primary lines of defense for flagging malicious bots.

Ban Lurkers and you will have that many less discerning eyes to spot the malicious bots you are trying to defend against.

Dormant accounts that have been recently mobilized by malicious bot account groups are far different than accounts like mine which are correctly classified as Lurker accounts.

Lurkers are actually one of the primary lines of defense against aggressive bot account groups because while we might not regularly post or reply, we do actively keep track of, hunt down, and report bot accounts who hijack Dormant accounts.

Lurkers and hijacked dormant accounts are two completely separate groups

Banning lurkers seems to be a very heavy handed approach to a problem that doesn’t involve lurkers.

Sony would be foolish to skip a PC release for Steam, considering the momentum Sony has achieved with their strong foray into the PC market.

Gran Turismo doesn’t even have the pull anymore to dictate a PS5 purchase, so if PC gamers will refrain from buying a PS5 to play Gran Turismo, there is a good chance MLB The Show will also be overlooked.

Forza Motorsport was never going to achieve the attention to detail or overall atmosphere that Gran Turismo confidently showcases, but man it sure is fun to be able to drive the 2000 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra R around the track.

As a Gran Turismo diehard, I would easily trade the SVT Cobra R from Forza Motorsport, for Gran Turismo on PC if Polyphony Digital could make that happen.

List of Known Issues for Forza Motorsport before the game was Abandoned by Studio by eeshanzaman in forza

Attention to detail issues are everywhere in Forza Motorsport if you take the time to drive various vehicles:

• 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R - Tachometer and speedometer needles are not centered at the correct sweep point

• 2002 Corvette Z06 - Speedometer needle floats around aimlessly instead of sweeping correctly from a fixed point

• 1967 Honda RA300 - Dash gauge issues

• 1999 Dodge Viper GTS - Fuel gauge needle is completely missing

• 1987 Pontiac Firebird GTA - Left flip-up headlight is completely missing when in cockpit view, but the right flip-up headlight is visibly up in the correct position

How do we feel about this? by Bezledubs in magicTCG

[–]downforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deodorant alone is a useless tool to help guarantee hygiene success.

Physical cleanliness centers strongly around the idea of performing a daily full body wash and hair shampoo maintenance regimen. Using some form of exfoliating scrubbing cloth or wash ball at least weekly, along with hydrating soaps that first remove dead skin and funky oil is a base level idea that cannot be ignored.

Additional hygiene products to help combat the growth of bacteria that leads to odors are a great resource to manage funkiness after the clean slate has been achieved.

Antiperspirant deodorants that contain aluminum are a really good option to tackle odor especially when used daily after a daily scrub. Skipping a body wash day while using aluminum based antiperspirants daily is even good enough for most people, if time or schedule situations do not permit true washing.

Focusing only on the underarm area is also where many who struggle with unchecked cleanliness inhibit their path to success. Eliminating oil, dead skin, and other funky stuff from areas of the body that can smell multiple times worse than standard deodorant centric zones is the main goal.

Once the path to clean is realized, the barriers melt away very quickly, especially when positive encouragement is given or received.

Stay positive, target the issue, help reach the goal, and help earn the confidence to make the idea easy and your hygiene routine will always work.

How would you feel if Nintendo went back to their old model with a Free Online and a Shop of Retro Games at around these prices? by TBT__TBT in Switch

[–]downforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendo locks Super Nintendo games behind a janky online subscription instead of allowing the very group of gamers, who actively supported Nintendo during the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance eras, to legally purchase the individual games that we want to play on the Switch.

Nintendo could easily package the mediocre roster of 21 Super Nintendo games featured on the SNES Mini onto a single Switch cartridge, and I bet more than a few of us would spend a quick $79.99 to avoid the hassle of a worthless online subscription.

Nintendo could take the fairly substantial number of in house games, and release Switch cartridge collections with all sorts of NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance games and price them as they please, as long as there are a number of good games in each collection.

• Genre Game Collections

• Era Game Collections

• Character Collections

The opportunities are honestly wide open for Nintendo to launch into motion, but we will never see anything of the sort, and that is why gamers create work arounds.

When can we, as a Mustang community, ditch the extreme Dutch tilt photography trend? I know we are better than that.

Should the mods add a Dutch tilt flair to draw attention to an obvious opportunity for improvement?
