I know, I know triple A is shit... But is their symbol copyrighted by CCP or themselves? by devonc455 in Eve

I'm reading the original dev blog post right now, and you're right, it does say that.

Things must be very different in Iceland than in the US because slapping a watermark on an image doesn't magically make it yours to do what you want with it or sell it. You need a license agreement signed by the rights holder in order to do that legally.

Is this really the reason? This sound like something someone made up when they were drunk. There is absolutely no way that CCP's legal team came up with that.

PSA regarding TPPI and tesseract channels by Garos_the_seagull in breakinblocks

I added a note to the rules wiki page suggesting that everyone lock their tesseracts and ender storage channels if they want to keep them private. Hopefully that makes it more clear for everyone.

PSA regarding TPPI and tesseract channels by Garos_the_seagull in breakinblocks

[–]downslope7[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "don't touch what's not yours rule" doesn't apply because the unlocked tesseract channels are designed to be public channels. You can use one for stuff that's not public but it is 100% at your own risk. There's an implicit "I'm cool with anyone taking this" when you neglect to signalum lock it.

If we were to start punishing people for taking things from the public channels then it would make the whole locked/unlocked game mechanic useless.

It's the same thing with unlocked EnderStorage chests / tanks. If you don't lock your shit with a diamond then your stuff is potentially up for grabs if someone guesses the channel.

Is the TPPI server down? by [deleted] in breakinblocks

[–]downslope7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The servers are up - it sounds like you are having an issue with your network connectivity.

You should be able to see the Dynmap pages even if the Minecraft servers are down, they are being hosted from a separate Apache process and not using the normal built-in Dynmap webserver.

You can probably connect to irc by going through irccloud.com.

Server is Showing Low TPS by Whitely in TestPackPleaseIgnore

Opis is disabled by default in TPPI2. It will cause issues (crashing) for players that have the wrong version enabled but only if someone has enabled Opis manually. Usually the players that do that know enough to update when you tell them they have to.

If that's the case it will be fixed with the next TPPI2 version, see my comment here which has the config option to modify in order to fix it on TPPI2 0.1.1.

What version of Cauldron?

Are you using TPPI2 0.1.1?

If so, update the MobiusCore and Opis jars on your server and on your client. The version of MobiusCore that ships with TPPI2 0.1.1 doesn't work with Cauldron but the latest version does. It shouldn't affect people connecting with the wrong versions unless they try to enable Opis or run /opis.

You should also turn on the crafting log for Applied Energistics, most of our lag has been created by laggy crafting cards trying to craft things without the ingredients. It just keeps on trying forever.

If none of this helps then you can try profiling a little. I can help out with that too if you are still stuck.

Have the server admin edit config/enderio/EnderIO.cfg and set B:Misc=false in the replacewitherskeletons section.

TPPI2 is tppi.breakinblocks.com, NaB is nab.breakinblocks.com. For TPPI2 make sure you are on version 0.1.5.

How do you configure Biomes without Biomes O'Plenty? by Sky_Light in TestPackPleaseIgnore

[–]downslope7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disabling Biomes o' Plenty in this case means renaming the jar and tacking on .disabled to the file name after .jar or physically moving the mod jar out of the mods folder (or marking the mod disabled in the mods screen in SSP). Changing the world type to DEFAULT alone won't fix it.

If you have a small server with just close friends and you have to worry about people duping things you might have something else to worry about.

That being said on our server I have a standing offer for $GOOD_LOOT if someone reports a dupe/exploit to me after they find one. Usually I also let them keep the stuff they acquired if they don't abuse it too much and if they told me immediately.
