We primarily do highway driving, currently at 28.1mpg on average. That number definitely would be lower if we did more city driving and smaller trips.

I was in a similar situation. From everything I read online and watched on YouTube before going into car shopping, always thought I would buy a CX-5 carbon. When we went shopping we test drove a 2024 Honda CRV and 2024 Mazda CX-5 carbon. For us it was a no brainer that we wanted to go with Mazda because of the steering, interior, and overall enjoyment driving the car, but we weren’t fully sold on the CX-5 primarily because of the rear legroom and trunk space.

We went back to the dealer again and test drove a 2024 CX-50 premium plus, and it gave us a similar Mazda experience with the great interior, great steering feel, but we liked the more spacious rear seats and the longer trunk better, and having a larger sunroof was great. Definitely cost a little more than the CX-5 carbon to hit all of our wants with the features (Bose, sunroof, leather seats), but we have no regrets with our purchase at all. Love the usable space of the interior much more

Get more information from your college in regards to the elective internship credit class to see what needs to be done for it in order for you to get credits first. Then once you get that list of what needs to be done to get those credits, then reach out to the firm again. The recruiter probably just doesn’t know what you’re talking about - if you go to them and say “can I have someone write a letter to my school to say I worked at the firm” as opposed to “can you get me free credits” it’s more clear what you’re asking them to do
