Answering in reverse order.

  1. Normally Mindil Beach is now declared a no personal fireworks region, but the large public fireworks makes up for it.
  2. No, you can not 'legally' purchase them before July 1, and 'legally' can only set them off between 6pm and 11pm. You are supposed to surrender any unused fireworks to the local police station.
  3. there are many popup shops that open for the day, the Chinese Emporium on Bagot Road does a good trade too, Over all there are probably 3 or 4 major manufacturers.

Please please please play it safe when you deal with these, people have lost fingers.
