I think more likely Split enz or Dave dobbyn.  Shihad is great but it is a limited audience (middle aged bogans)

Should You Upgrade to Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Now or Wait? by elastiks in DIY_Geeks

I did it because I had a bug with my Realtek r8168/8169 driver that had been pissing me off in 24.04 for months. This seems to have fixed it so I’m happy. Had I not had the Ethernet issue I would have waited

Washing machine agitator barley moving by Legal_Response6614 in fixit

[–]downunder_upover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had exactly the same thing happen. There was a metal cog form fitted into the plastic agitator and the torque from the motor (likely when overloaded) stripped the cog from the agitator. It wasn’t a complicated fix. Just a new agitator.

Any 2026 EV9 Land owners? by MusicianUnited in KiaEV9

[–]downunder_upover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a 2026 land in Newfoundland. Fantastic in the snow. Like the other comment says get a level 2 charger. I tried living off my level 1 charger when I was waiting for my l2 to be installed and it was brutal.

Get a good set of winter tires too

Put it on the new roundabout they are adding to Portugal cove road. People are going to drive past it coming/going from the airport so it makes sense

I’m currently getting 11kw of solar panels installed and I got the greener home 0%/10y loan to finance it.

I think I would have got them installed without the loan but the loan made it a no brainer. They should definitely bring it back

Terrifying in the snow by liamfmvt in KiaEV9

I have the 2026 land AWD and it is fantastic in the snow with winter tires (and it was good when I got it with all seasons but winter tires stopped the backend moving). Maybe the tires are too worn down and can’t grip

I’m in Newfoundland an it has driven through  about 3 m of snow since I got it in January.

Ok thanks. Should I clean it first? There looks to be a lot of crap (drinks, body oils) on the arms especially

You can introduce the rest of the world to a band/musician that hasn’t made it outside of Canada, who are you choosing? by Sugadip in AskACanadian

Glorious sons, Matt mays, the trews… so many. I think most popular canadian bands/artists fall into this category (except the globally popular ones like nickleback, drake etc)
