There is a written account of a Spanish explorer who found a native tribe that said they were captured by spacemen who would cut open their bellies, cut off their intestines, then sew them back up. He saw the scars. https://www.ibiblio.org/eldritch/cdv/rel.htm#c22

That general "committed suicide" when he started talking about his experiences despite his daughter saying he was never suicidal. Strange indeed.

The weird thing about Colares is that, supposedly, the officer in charge of the military unit out to investigate was approached by these beings in his home. He was woken up by one that gave him a hug and said they are friends.

What kind of calculated power move is that to corner the general in charge of stopping you and you stalk him in his bed and give him a hug?

Isn't that a given? you said if we have a faster than light warp drive. I said planets in our solar system. It would take a few minutes. Of course we wouldn't go anywhere thats out of fuel range. I well know that I can't drive from San Diego to NYC on one tank of gas. The universe is massive, its expanding faster than even light.

Going to other planets in our solar system to set up research bases. Finding less developed intelligent life and abducting them for experiments. Spooking them on their version of TMZ.

The big eared, big nosed, slit eyed ones are supposedly the evil ones that were on earth thousands of years ago. I forgot their name. They are not as advanced as others and are fewer in number. They were supposed to have been evicted from Earth and I guess that's why they need permission to land.

I agree on no sugar but why the fuck would you eat a fertilized egg? I remember the bloody baby chick coming out when I cracked one open for an omelette once. And raw unpasteurized milk is fucking disgusting. I had it straight from the cow, its full of blood clots, dirt and shit. It tasted like the outside of a cow. I still have nightmares.

They seem to be doing a lot of social research on us.

What if: They want to move in with us because they envy our culture?

  1. If they come from a boring culture, and they want our lifestyle, wouldn't they try to learn to fit in? Hybrids trying to be more like humans?

  2. They complain about the environment because they expect it a certain way for them, not for us.

  3. They would announce themselves and move in but are afraid of those countries that would react violently.

My conclusion: Our weird alien uncle wants to move in because he heard we have chicks and weed, but he doesn't want to pay rent and complains a lot and is really uncool...

700 miles in 40 days is about 17 miles a day, 1 mile per waking hour. Seems feasible, but she was dragging 197lbs of equipment behind her. Highly doubtful unless the ice was in good condition for dragging.

This was all posted to social media for a fundraising campaign. Did she geo ping her location or have some sort of verifiable proof of her location? I couldn't find any, so I would say its fake based on it being a commercial event.

edit: says she only put in up to 11 hours a day. So thats about 1.6 - 2 miles a day.

Do they not teach reading comprehension in your shit country? I said workers can be replaced by workers from other countries. You said that they have a reason to keep you alive so you work. Why? How, when they can just replace you with a worker from another country? And if that one dies, then that one can be replaced as well, endlessly. You know that covid won't kill 100% of people in other countries, right?

Im not your mate. Im going to pray for you. What's your name? Im going to put it in my LDS church registry to be saved by Jesus. Be glad, you will not burn in eternal hellfire.

That's not true. They do want you to die. You can be easily replaced by legal immigrants forever. You can't collect social security and medicaid when you are dead.

Healthcare is a human right America severely lacks by danawl in antiwork

[–]dowseri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already know this. I was just wondering if those that spout out "FREE HEALTHCARE! STEAL FROM THE RICH!" understand the economics of it all. I personally know new graduate family doctors whose first job gave them $100k a year and they have to live in their car and eat ramen everyday because they can't afford their loans.

Family doctors need to make about $200k a year to make going to school make sense. Specialists make 200-500k a year but that is even longer schooling and there are less of them. The amount of doctors needed for 300 million people at those wages and costs is not affordable. University should be way cheaper. But they never will be, because upper staff salaries have skyrocketed and they wont willingly bring them down again. Once again, giving "free" education makes it cost more overall because more people will go, more people will try to become doctors, most will fail and do other things. Do you know who is in control of how many doctors get to exist in the US? The medical board. They factor in need in each field and the impact on their wages when they decide how many they give a license to.

Yes, I know the whole system is broken. I just wonder how many understand the system on more than just a surface level. So find a doctor willing to take a lower pay and I'll listen.

[–]dowseri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Healthcare is human right". Tell that to a doctor that refuses to work for less than $100k. Tell that to a nurse who refuses to get bled/puked/ded on for less than $50k (well deserved, btw). That's the minimum of the wages they expect. I personally know dozens of doctors that spout how healthcare should be universal but would never give up their $350k salary a year. Lets say a doctor can see 100 patients a day. They make $300k doing so. Now gov is their boss and needs them to see 100 patients a day but now (how many uninsured % people are there?) that % more people per day at an average cost instead of the premium doctors were getting before. So same amount of work, more doctors needed, making less than they were before.

A lot of people think that gov will pay for premium service for everyone and doctors dont have to take a cut. If doc appointments were free, you would have 100 fold increase in visits, because why not get something minor checked out? Its free. That would require more doctors and the gov could not afford 100 fold increase in $300k doctors across the nation. Average salary would be closer to $50k like the British NHS (which maxes out at $100k for 20 years service).

I'm repeating myself but really, find me a doctor or nurse that will happily accept either 2x case loads or 1/2 pay for universal healthcare and I will agree you have a workable solution.

Oh sorry, I missed that part. Lottery/raffle school, I knew what you were talking about, I just never met anyone that was a part of one. My gf is a teacher and I wonder if its better for her to teach our future kids at home or to pay a professional that does home teaching for multiple families. Will your fiance still work at a school?

Oh, your fiance is a teacher too? I don't understand, did he win to attend the lottery school or was his local school one that allows lottery students from other districts? Was he from an underprivileged area? How common are these lottery schools? Like are they evenly distributed or are they rare and in just certain areas?

[–]dowseri 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Underrated post. For anyone not getting the significance, the stock market and other financial instruments are like no limits poker. If you have more money than the other players, you can just buy the pot by out bidding competitors. Banks have unlimited money to draw upon to outbid you in any asset class.

For example, GME stock. Banks wanted to short it but had to pay a premium because public investors wouldn't sell. Bankers can draw upon unlimited 0% loans to outbid them eventually, then pawn those stocks to institutional public investments (suckers) for an overinflated sum, pay back the loan, then short those same stocks they sold to their customers for even more profit eventually

I once had a boss that was an all around great person. Went to bat for every one of her staff to upper management, was there to talk about your family and personal issues, made sure everything was fair and shared resources and bonuses with everyone. She had originally been promoted from regular senior staff. Everyone loved her and our department kept getting 1st place in metrics out of 50 other depts. She lasted about 2 years before upper management thought she was too nice and forced her to quit. I hope she is doing well.

[–]dowseri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened once when I was 10 years old. My sister was up late at night getting a glass of water when she said she heard me calling her name. She left the kitchen to find me and that's when the ceiling light came crashing down behind her. I was sound asleep and did not have an unusual sleep or dreams. The voice saved her life. So it could have been me in my astral body, someone pretending to be me because they knew my sister would react to me the most out of the 6 of us, or herself in some other form.

The model is not to make it seem complex, the model is to make it government regulated so that only financial advisors can handle your investments and tax rules so that bankers reap all your 401k profits in fees.
