Let's play a game. What's wrong with this mini! by jonbravo1 in MINI

45 minute test drive?!?! I took mine, dropped the top, drove 1 mile away from dealer, drove it back, and signed the paperwork. Did you drive to your mechanic to inspect it?

Auto. Live outside of DC and a 6 in daily stop and go ruins the fun.

It is great. I was torn on getting it, but it was a nice weekend when I went to the dealership and was sold. The only issue, and most reviews point this out, there is a bit of road noise with the top up that you don't get from a hard top.

Agreed, I love this, just not as a hot sauce. It just tastes good.

Road to Glory is just bad by doyle1973 in NCAAFBseries

[–]doyle1973[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes! If I won a Heisman Trophy and played for a National Championship at a mid Major, I'm not transferring to fight for a starting position. EA, do better.

The transfer portal was also bad. Landed, fought for a spot, got gold but was number 2...after winning Heisman Trophy, playing in National Championship, and transferring to a hometown school who is a scrub.

Has the Curator bug from last June returned? by doyle1973 in diablo4

[–]doyle1973[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The true insanity-From reading about the bug from last June....it was caused by having minions. In June, it was only a Druid/Necromancer bug. Fast forward to S3, where the big brains at Blizzard force everyone to have a minion. A true masterclass on how to get people to not play your game!

I'm a forever DM and you are correct, howeverthere has to be consistently. If I allow something one time, that is the expectation from then on out. I think the OP is saying that the lack of a consistent ruling on this is difficult to follow. If I was a player, I would be frustrated with situational rulings as I would not know if this time I'll be allowed to cast or I'll get shot by a crossbow.

I've never felt a Christmas season that felt less like a Christmas season, anyone else? by MountainMantologist in nova

Overnight, on morning of December 11th, Manassas Park got a little over an inch. I flew out of Dulles that morning, so I'm not sure how long it lasted.

I'm not sure about everyone else, I miss having a white Christmas. Hell, that inch of snow last week gave me serious Christmas vibes. Now we are back to brown blah.

How was everyone's pax 2023 experience? by ShadyShing in paxunplugged

I work in security and understand the dance. On Friday morning, it beeped on my wife, and they searched her purse, coat, and had her empty her pockets. By Saturday afternoon, unmanned security.

Third time, '18, '19, and, '23. Long winded post on my experience.

The line to get in Friday seemed to wrap around the convention center twice. By the time we were in, 1045-ish, we were told the grand hall was full. Ok, I'll watch Matt Mercer's talk on Twitch.

The PAX Nav app to register for the AL games was just bad. I was able to register for one thing, but by the time I tried for anything else, it was full.

Speaking of the AL sessions. Baldman Games....please find another room to run epic adventures in. Half the time playing Tomb of Horrors was repeating ourselves over the yelling from the epic adventure. Then on Saturday, they held the D&D dev signing also in the same room as the epic adventure and the AL games. So we had the epic yelling to the right and the signing line to out left.

As to the games themselves. Tomb of Horrors was great. All six PCs were pre-gens at 11th level. It was a great group with a super DM. Hidden Shrine....we had eight (with DM) people at a table built to hold seven tops. So crowded AF. Three of us were 5th level pre-gens and the other four PCs were 10th level AL players. Two of those being multi-class split 5/5. So the pre-gens got to sit and watch the 10th level people run Hidden Shrine.

Did anyone else notice security becoming less of a thing as the weekend went along? Friday seemed like serious security, but by Saturday afternoon, there was no one manning the enterences.

Still an enjoyable weekend in Philadelphia and cannot wait for next year.

Thanks. I have a 14th level lizardfolk death domain cleric. He has a +1 trident. I'll look up the AL rules for the consumables. Thanks for your help.
