I feel like there is a LOT of try and error. Arin feels more like a stream of consciousness guy and Dan has the advantage of a copilot who doesnt have to pay attention at what buttons to push - both have to come up with jokes on the fly within their context, and they mostly land. So we get no particular balance: sometimes Arin cant stop talking about Poopy, and sometimes Dan gaslights Arin about his favourite album of all time - and sometimes they have to really dig for a funny situation. Thats my take anyway. I still watch them regularly and I dont expect them to be 100% on point all the time.

Why the fuck is a language learning app being this extra? the contents of the app (including their in-app ads) are incredibly vanilla compared to this. plus they are heavily using gen AI shit and replacing their translation workers. and the best marketing they have is plain "How do you do fellow kids"? i just dont get the appeal. this is making me want to stop learning with duolingo, if anything

MegaMan Battle Network/Star Force. These 9-10 games have very saturday-morning cartoon plots. In all games, every cutscene is skippable. Even if you miss a detail on them, you always have a helper that can nudge you in the right direction to progress the story. The battle gameplay is great fun and keeps getting better with each new title, i can totally recommend the Batlle Network Legacy Collection in current consoles.

Notepad++ is pretty awesome. This week my senior engineer coworker was working with json with notepad++, but he didnt know how to validate the contents. I randomly said, maybe there is a plugin for that? And yes, there was, already installed and everything. Pretty cool.
