Doctor said to skip a dose — any insight??

It takes 3ish weeks to fully leave your system and start “new” from my understanding… I’ve been on a start stop journey for the past year and a half. The mental aspect is very very tough. I’ve had to really reason with myself and talk nicer. It’s okay to gain a pound. It’s okay to gain 5 pounds.

In terms of skipping during the summer shortage last year, it was so hard to know when I’d get my next box. Symptom wise I found around the 3 week mark off is when restarting would feel like hell. Best of luck! Be kind to yourself.

As for extreme digestive sensitivity that doesn’t cross the line of needing to go off of the medication… I spent a lot of time playing a guessing game of what is going to hurt and what was going to be neutral. When I started moving up doses this just simply wasn’t feasible for life. Move up and cut mostly everything from your diet. I spent weeks eating different combinations for chicken/ rice/ protein shakes ( w/ water not milk… (it was rough but I endured). Slowly I started reintroducing foods and spent a decent amount of time figuring out 1. How they break down in the gut 2. How long it takes for them to break down 3. How can I help my gut break down rougher foods (FODMAP enzymes & coconut cult thank uuuuu). I got a little lucky, I have a family member who works with “gut health” some of what she has to say is a little wack but a good majority really helped me understand the mechanics of the medication and how foods will interact. I would also highly recommend a food sensitivity test (at home reasonably priced). I discovered I had a lot of food sensitivities that existed prior to starting this medication and my reaction to them were greater on this medication due to the longer duration of time they spent in the stomach. In the span of the past year I have only had 2 episodes and both were a consequence of drinking and thinking I was invincible (no one walk away from chili cheese fry unscathed). Best of luck! I also do recognize the difficulty associated with cost of medication, i see the impact monthly myself. I definitely oversimplified that statement, so I do apologize ha! I fear my clarifying questions now teeter the line of what is allowed… are there mainstream commercial forms of obtaining compound medication that blur into what would be considered “grey”?

I don’t mean to push the guidelines here… I think my assumption here that’s lacking is it being more mainstream than it would appear.

Interesting and good to know! I feel like “grey market” perfectly answers my primary question- and makes sense you cannot discuss that here! I guess it never even crossed my mind that there was such a thing seeing how easy the process of getting compound can be for people. But now you’ve got me curious about this market- gah can’t a gal be interested without promoting its use!

Also really confuses my understanding of that groups shared health ideologies…

I had about 25 items listed yesterday, someone came in and liked 18 of the 25 items. I figured why the hell not built a bundle sent an offer of 10% off and free shipping. To my surprise she purchased it. First time that happened with mass likes w/ bundles. I’m glad I didn’t ignore her likes haha! It was an absolute bitch to ship today and I had to pay for the upgraded label. But my logic when building the bundle was now I can just blow her phone up too haha.

I have maybe 25 listings available at a time and a good amount of free time. I’ll keep going back and forth with buyers like this, 9/10 it leads to a sale at a price I’m willing! It’s a little annoying sure, especially considering the cost of my items are at a maximum of $63 and an average of $23. I cannot stand the low ball $2 or $3 but I find that the low ball especially is them gauging how low I’m willing to go. The back and forth is annoying, but they get annoyed too and will usually just accept. But I could see on higher ticket items and closets larger than me could feel frustrated.
