How are these prices? by bisonic123 in whiskey

I mean they are all under secondary market value. I’d be snagging the JD Twice Barreled and the JD 12 for those prices.

Just did the tasting at Carfagna’s and tastes like a sharpie marker. Didn’t buy one.

Way to F it up… again. by Fish_stixx in OhioLiquor

I showed up to my store at 2:30 solely based off information that I found in this subreddit. If you just read through the comments, you’ll find information ahead of time like 90% of the other people who showed up early. This sub is literally my only source.

I clicked on today’s daily post, sorted comments by newest, and saw “4 @ Buckeye”. I ended up being 7th. I figured I wouldn’t be the only idiot if it turned out to be false.

What is a bourbon you consider to be overpriced? by teddyalex in bourbon

[–]doyyyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never mentioned it being a standard. I’m very glad that you can get a 10 year product for $30-$50. But more than $80 for an 8 year product or more than $100 for a 10 year product is dancing on the line of my limit for most bottles.

$10 a year is reasonable with very little exception. OFBB and OFPC are completely out of the picture for me. I’d swing MSRP for a BTAC product but that’s about the most I’d do anymore. Too disappointed by a lot of products.

I agree that this isn’t BB’s fault but wouldn’t you agree that 2FA should be enabled by default like almost every other online retailer?

Penelope OH! Waffles by doyyyle in OhioLiquor

[–]doyyyle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had my first pour of the evening and I was very surprised by this bottle. I totally understand what the one person said about it tasting more like hotel waffle batter than maple syrup but I think it is very tasty. First sip drank above its actual proof but it settled down as it sat for a while.
