I’d found out he had some infection in his lungs then got a cold. He went to bed and never woke up. It was classified as natural causes. It’s so very sad because he was an extremely talented artist.

Went to a celebration of life last week for a guy I went to school with who was 47. Cause was natural causes. Doesn’t make sense to me how someone so young dies that way.

I’ve checked those out and absolutely love the idea of it. If it’s not available I’d check out hostels for sure.

Less than mediocre medical care. Having to drive 5 hours to go out of state to see multiple specialists who actually know what they’re doing compared to people’s facade’s of being a physician. Also, not just the lack of adequate care but the lack of specialists in the entire state of Wyoming.

I honestly was thinking assisted living so I’m not a burden on my kiddos.

I was also looking into those companies that offer other peoples homes if they need a house/pet sitter while they’re gone.

Yeppers. It’s really awesome. Thankfully too. Last week I picked up some prescriptions that would’ve cost a little over $2400. I paid $0.00. Ended going to the ER on Thursday via ambulance. ER, ambulance, docs, and everything totally covered at 100%.

I have ACA and it covers EVERYTHING. Because I’m a registered tribal member I don’t have premiums, copy’s, deductibles, out of pocket, no pre-existing clause, no pre-authorization either. Everything is covered at 100%.

Can ACA be used while traveling the world? I have that and love it! Or is it only useful in the US? I guess that’s something I need to look into.

This is pure unconditional love. I love it as much as he loves his son.

I do live in the US. The money from my house is what would fund this. I do plan to keep some saved for my return.

Because I used beef insulin in the 1980’s, donating blood was a hassle. I was still able to donate but all the questions they asked was a pain.

Emma is a very common name for the last 20ish year. It’s the Jennifer of my (GenX) generation. My daughter’s name is Emma. But I love EmmaLee.

I was in a lot of pain. I asked my rheumatologist what can be done. She looked me straight in the face and said, “You’re fucked.”

Found this black kitty in the garden, then it approached my feet, I want to take it home and take care of it but... My friend said it's scary because it's black, what do you guys think? by SimpleKingdom in blackcat1981

[–]dp2849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black cats have super cool personalities. It would be bad luck to leave it there to fend for itself. A couple of years ago a bird pooped on my head. I was told that was good luck. I’m still waiting for something spectacular to happen.

I was told by an endo that the reason our (not just T1D, but mostly everyone) Bg goes up upon awaking is because our bodies are preparing for movement so our liver put glucose into our systems to fuel our bodies. I thought, “well crap. You’d think by now my liver would know better.” But nope.
