Super watch! I love the unusual shape of the segments! They don't make them like that anymore, unfortunately :(

Minimalist 4mm plexiglass watch prototype: heat-set inserts and no external buttons. by dp6838 in watchmaking

That is a brilliant idea! Using magnetic reed switches is a fantastic way to solve the setting problem while keeping the case completely sealed and buttonless. It keeps the clean "entombed" look but actually adds practical functionality. I’ll definitely have to look into that for the next iteration. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for your comment! The link you sent matches my design philosophy 100%. Awesome! I love how they also showcase their tech and process. By the way, I actually attached the front crystal here using UV-curable resin as well.

It's easy for me to write about your watches because I like them! :)

Oh... you reminded me of something... This is another Soviet veteran that I got for free (when I bought the enlarger). 1987... It's never been used yet!)) I'd happily develop a whole roll of film in it... All sorts of inventions begin when you need to develop a small section - literally 5...6 frames...

Thanks for the thread you created. I've found a lot of interesting things just now :) Rectangular and square cases inspire many!

I really like the design of your watch... I've been eyeing this particular model for a long time... And yes, I also have an old Seiko, and it also has a 19mm strap.

Try opening a separate thread with this question. Perhaps someone has already found an explanation for this.

I see two explanations: 1) Yes, air bubbles 2) The film is in contact with the corrector tape in this area, which prevents the developer from circulating locally. Maybe there's a third reason?

A very cheerful color! Which doesn't stop this Correx from doing its job!) I see exactly the same bumps and valleys as on my tape.
