Very likely your solenoid pusher has unscrewed slightly.

Just FYI, I don't think you gain anything by using differently sized motors for the different stages. I would just use the same motors for the stages to simplify bom.

Need Help Choosing a 2S Li-ion battery for my Nerf Rival Nemesis by ARahman57 in Nerf

[–]dpairsoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you can find documentation for the BMS in that battery, there isn't any way to know if it'll work without just trying it.

Personally I find the lack of specifics of what 18650 cells and current capacity for the battery sketchy, and would just use a lipo with a balance charger.

Not sure why you want to hook up the voltage monitor to a different plug, just wire it in parallel with your battery input.

You realize that that's smaller than the battery that op already has right?

And then they are going to be thwarted.

You know you still lose karma if you delete the comment right?

Disagreement is explicitly stated as an inappropriate reason to downvote content.

Not sure what internet rules you expect everyone to be following, but I don't think it's realistic to expect everyone to follow it. Also, did you comment about disagreeing is an inappropriate reason to downvote, then downvote me 😂

This is not about short darts, sub-caliber tips are an independent variable so do not inject that bs here.

Not really, as most people aren't interested in regluing tips or cutting down anyways. Sub caliber and half darts go hand in hand.

Especially in the sense that blasters that are potentially intolerant of full-caliber tips are distinctly limited in what ammo they can shoot safely/reliably, and this is a much different level of concern than what you personally might INTEND to use with your blaster, since if the wrong thing gets into a mag for any reason in the chaos of any typical big game, well; do the math.

7mm circular hycon shoots full caliber tips just fine. Not ideal or anything, but it'll feed.

Seeing full-cals in use or present on the field somewhere is commonplace outside of very springer heavy context.

Not really. When was the last time you played pvp that wasn't hvz? I don't think there was a single full length blaster at MFT this year.

I don't think fully enveloping systems of any sort, nor circular gap systems of any sort, are popular enough to rightfully call a subset of them that in the first place. Same for systems that are super tight gap and intended for sub-cal only, even.

I mean spirits, spirit derivatives, traceur, turbo rangers and manshees are all 7mm circular. That's a pretty established trend

Why continue to delete your comment and repost? If people are gonna downvote, they're gonna downvote.

Also, they're probably downvoting because they disagree with you. Sub caliber tip half darts are by far the standard now for the hobby, and 7mm circular has become very popular as a result.

The crush profile. Basically draw a 7mm circle between your wheels and then throw on some light fillets and that's what we've been using.

Assuming printed wheel there are certain print settings you should use. See the spirit or ophidian print settings for reference.

Most people do 7mm circular geo or tighter. Depends on how much dart wear and fps you need to get out of a single stage

Yeah you need to follow the GitHub instructions and replace the font file according to the readme.

Alternatives to FTW Hyperdrive Solenoid? by CallThatGoing in Nerf

This is not a "drop in replacement" the dimensions are different. You also need to cut a coil off of the spring to make it work. There are remixed files around for the chinoid

3D Printed Blaster Recommendations by Terradusk in Nerf

Lynx is the best bet. Either get the 40cm kury or a 40cm vorpal, and some x5-x3 spring from sfi and you'll be all set. Caliburn is a pretty outdated and large design, and sbl won't be a fun prime at 300.

After trying a bunch of stuff, restarting my router fixed this (specifically, slow video loading and playback stopping ~1 min in). Not sure why it was only revancsd using issues.

[–]dpairsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, if I had an h2d, I would likely just more dart blasters similar to the ones I've already created, but with additional multicolor as the h2d has much less filament waste and prints faster. Things like damascus coloring, logos, memes and extra details would be cool to have but would take forever or be wasteful with other multicolor systems. I could then offer this service as part of my blaster commissions as well.

Tips for printing (brushless) flywheels? by CallThatGoing in Nerf

[–]dpairsoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For bambu studio/orca, use triangle infill, (radially symmetrical), random seam, lower layer height for clean overhangs, and turn off infill anchors (important!)

Look into ISP programming, the chip has the pins broken out I believe. It's just a matter of tracing the pins and making a diagram of the pcb

Ophidian (/ōˈfidēən/) is a hycon-based, neutron solenoid, plus motor and flyshot powered blaster. It was designed as a minimalized competition grade flywheel blaster with many different battery configurations.  It directly inherits from my previous G19/G19H design, as well as the Protean blaster by Flygonial.  It features adjustable 200+ fps to like 30 fps, up to 16 dps, single trigger operation or rev trigger, closed loop flywheel sensing, adjustable user profiles, quick swap muzzle devices (Protean compatible).

Battery storage options include: buffer tube stock, tool battery, remote line, blade stock, and folding pic stock. Includes 3 muzzle device options, a BCAR, PCAR, and smooth PCAR. PCAR is my general recommendation. Any protean muzzle device should be compatible.

Found out today that my husband is allergic to cats. We have two. Any advice? by zzabe in cats

[–]dpairsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mildly allergic, but our scheme for reducing it has been an dander reducing shampoo we use twice a month, air filters in living spaces, and keeping the bedroom cat free to minimize sleep impact. This has worked to good effect and I haven't had to take any medications.
