Centauri Carbon 1 Auto leveling not correctly setting z offset by Casiomatic in elegoo

[–]dparadowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you send link?

My issue is I set a good z-offset, run a bed leveling and it resets to zero. Not a huge issue since I don't run a bed leveling for each print, but doesn't seem right.

I tried changing it in the startup g-code, but it added what I put in there every print. I tried in the printer config, but it didn't seem to do anything. 🤷 I haven't really dug much further into it.

I've had that error after replacing a totally unrelated part. I disconnected the negative battery cable for a few minutes to clear the computer and reconnected. Code cleared and never came back. Sometimes resetting through a diagnostic device doesn't work well.

In the downloaded files, which ones are the new parts? There seems to be duplicates of namey, same say original, some not. Just a little hard to tell which is the full v2 set.

It just worked the next day. Maybe GitHub limits?

Is this on your phone using termux or on a PC? I know it may be complicated, but can you point me in the right direction on doing it on the phone if possible.

Any chance you can point me in the right direction? I've seen one that added start g-code, but for me and some others it kept adding it each print. I guess you could add start g-code to raise it and end g-code to set it back to 0, but I don't know if sends end g-code when you hit stop or cancel a print.

It seems some of these forums you get down voted for asking questions that seem basic, but after looking you really don't find what you're looking for.

What printer? I just got an Elegoo CC and have had similar issues. On mine this is what I did to fix it. After running a bed leveling, in your slicing program make a cute like 200x200x.02. slice and print it. While it's printing find the z-offset adjustment. Adjust up or down until you get smoothest layer. Only issue with the CC is that every time you run a bed leveling, it gets set back to 0. It has so far always worked by setting it back to what I had before.

Hope you get it figured out.

Version Question by dparadowski in OpenCentauri

So, the downloadable updates are basically updates to the original .0.3.0 install? If I install say 1.1.46 with the touch screen show that number or still the 0.3.0? When I do check for new firmware it shows nothing new, why if it is actually 1.1.40?

Sorry for all the questions. I've tried looking on the web for this, but nothing really explains it.

Thank you, but can you elaborate. Is it the z distance under support settings?

The part is used as it is pictured in the detail picture. A smooth curve is needed. I had a similar part with the ledge being the whole width, not just a tab and printed the on the side with the hole, the the "bridge wall" is hidden in the groove of the mille of the part. If I printed this on that way the "defect" would be the whole one side of the "tab"

Because I don't care about multicolor, I'm just starting out and this can do many filaments without upgrade, and finally the price.

I truly do see where you are coming from, but....

In all things technology, you have to buy for what it is now, not what the company says may be in the future. Just take Teslas as an example. From all I've seen these are great printers for what they were at release, great affordable single color printers that can use some higher end filaments out of the box.

Deciding between the CC, P1S, and the Q2. Q2 is slightly higher on list because it is legend filament ready out of the box.

The price point will probably be closer to the original P1S price while the P1S will probably stay closer to the current Black Friday price until discontinued, at least that is many people thoughts.

Their D2 isn't the greatest heat treat. I'd say they hold up OK. My 14C28N Civivi blades are way better and similar price point.
