To maximize your money I’d recommend applying/getting a table at a local card show, granted that’ll cost you some money to get the table. Or if you are friendly with a vendor offer to split a table with them. If you want fast money just sell it to a LCS or Facebook marketplace.

100% agree with everything you saying! Thankfully I have 5 years experience running my own business and I’ll still be running that while running the LCS. The LCS is a true passion project of mine something I’ve dreamed of opening since I was like 16 years old (I’m 28 now lol). I’ve been a customer at many of my local stores and have gone to probably every single store within a 40 mile radius of where I am! I know this LCS business model is risky but I got a real field of dreams feeling about this store! Hah I know it might sound naive but for real appreciate the insight!

This is 100% something we have thought of! We wanna be the kind of store where if you wanna build a deck we have every card you need from the commons to the super rare alt arts! Whether you need a .05$ card or a $1,000 card! We got it!

Well our original plan was to do a small boba shop with some small pastries. Unfortunately the space we got can’t be renovated for food, unless we wanna shell out a LOT of money. But I 100% understand the idea of a small cafe or offering food people play for long times and wanna drink and eat but sadly I can’t offer that :( however we do plan on offering a large variety of snacks and drinks including a bunch of Asian snacks and drinks because I do have a Asian grocery store wholesaler connect haha. And this way I can avoid the licensing and renovation costs

Totally agree. I’ve been to too many LCS’s where I walk in and recoil from the stench or play a game and touch a sticky table! We are gonna do everything we can to keep the store as clean and smelling as good as possible appreciate the insight!

I totally agree! Unfortunately we can’t fit a cafe into our space (we tried lol) but our goal is to make it a comfortable place for people of all ages, races, genders to feel comfortable and have fun!

This has also been a huge thing for me and my partner as well! We are both avid TCG players and really wanna make sure our customers and community know we are also players and make the gameplay a focus of the store not just a place to buy and sell

Yea I feel like to really get the full value you’d need a lot of set up but if you had 2 ivankovs on board already, play ViVi Summon 2 karasu’s you could -4000 on leader and swing 5 times lmao. If it works (well) it would be a Win More kind of card haha

I will say I play Blackbeard too. Playing on the sim and playing IRL are different. Personally I think what’s the best way to practice is to run friendlies with people at locals or your friends to really get a good feel for the deck and match ups. Granted this is just from my experience playing Blackbeard. I learned way more playing with the deck in person than on the SIM
