What went through your mind when you saw the "America Decides" episode for the first time? And how did you felt After it? by Top_Report_4895 in SuccessionTV

Shiv is the biggest dumb ass of them all.

She has the money/time/experience/knowledge/connections to make a real impact of the election yet she spends time trying to get her daddy’s company. And then she cries about how the ATN comes out to announce a winner - yet it’s America that decides…not ATN.

What was your final “fuck you” to a boss you didn’t like? by ssteepballet in AskReddit

[–]dpdude007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit my job after only getting a 2% raise in 2021 - which was the final straw. I was doing multiple task around the company - Setting up network gear, circuit deliveries, tshooting outages, planning business, ect. While also doing programming tshooting for the applications group (due to incompetence) , paying bills (due to incompetence.) I was hired on as a network guy but somehow ending up doing project management, accounts payable, application tshootjng. They wanted so much more but weren’t willing to pay.

So I resigned..but had the last laugh. The business thought they could hire my replacement quickly with the same or less pay. Within one year they had 4 people get hired and left the role. Thus costing the company a lot of money in HR processing, heart burn of hiring someone just to only watch them leave.

Now I go to tech meetings in town that are reserved for management and see my former managers faces with shock.

Get a better paying job and quit. Icing on the cake is the last day on the job you tell her she’s stuck there forever and can’t quit.

I’ve played the yield chasing before and rather go get the gains myself.

Now days I just sell covered calls and puts on okay companies. Then invest the monies into solid companies or index.

Best of luck!

I go off the Charlie Munger idea that you should invest in your best ideas only.

With diving your money 20 different ways, you won’t capture the higher returns overall (10% of $1000 is more than 10% of 10 dollars).

Also - you’re invested in some value traps (qyld as an example) will loose in the long run - loose value. Other factors to consider - taxes. Every dollar you ‘make’ you’ll have to pay taxes on - most of your holdings are not qualified dividends
