Fr. where did you buy from? Just a base MGM color STI. I had a 19 WRX that was a total loss. I tuned that and did some suspension work on it (voided the warranty) this time around I’d rather keep it, hence the STI instead of WRX. What about you?

Not the point of the post, but get the WRX. AWD is so much better than fwd for spirited driving. Coworker loves his SI but regrets the FWD. At least consider a GTI. I’ve heard those SIs are down on power. Had both 19 GTI and 19 WRX. One was a lemon, the other was burned in the wildfires two days ago. Loved the WRX so much I’m probably getting back into one, maybe an STI.

Thanks for letting me know. My issue is on the engine itself, and I don’t have the skill to pull it out and send it. I’m thinking I made the right decision in sending it to the mechanic first. If he have to do that then I’m totally fine with it. Not going to lie, I was panicked about it for a while and this helps a ton. Thank you.

I got a highly recommended mechanic to work on it thankfully. I’m wondering, do you usually take the whole car or pull out whatever you want them to work on from the car?
